Interesting trade. I like PPat and Morris (Pat more so...still unsure why Morris was drafted as high as he was) but they were nothing special, and I think their play dictated that they were just not consistent enough to be a high quality starter.

Not sure what to think about Robinson. I guess the obvious question is, were the kings really stupid for not playing him more? Or did they know/see something that justified him not playing?

Still, I think it's a worthy move because they have to see what the other PFs can contribute because PP and Morris were already known commodities, and frankly nothing that can't be replaced relatively easily.

I wouldn't trade White either, mainly because how is he basically untradeable right now.

While I'm advocating a trade for our PF's, I hugely doubt we can trade them all. Neither are going to contribute much, if at all, so trading them away wouldn't hurt the team, and would only increase flexibility.

I'd imagine in a trade for Kevin Love, draft picks would be more valued than actual players. Same way Kyle Lowry was not as trade-worthy as the lottery pick he got us.

You don't think Horford is just as good as Aldridge?

If we did it for Love then who would play center?

This is a bit of a head scratcher on the surface, especially if we are shopping Jones. From glut to deficit at the 4?

Now, this could take on a whole new look if another move is in the works. One would think that if another move is around the corner, its for a 4.

Al Horford is extremely underrated then. He's a legit all star who's young and underpaid. Asik and Parsons for him would be an easy decision but the Hawks wouldn't take it.

Asik needs help inside so getting Robinson could be huge if he develops.

The 1st round picks that DMo and Jones would currently fetch are probably of less value then the players. Especially if one of them plays well given the available minutes at PF. Both of those guys are probably a late 1 (20-25)

Sucks to let Morris go that cheaply, but I expect it was more about maintaining cap space. I expect it was the only deal that Morey could get at that time to maintain offseason cap space.

We'd have to cross that bridge when we came to it. If you have Harden and Love, I'm pretty sure we could get an acceptable center. At that point you could even roll the dice on Oden

i guess it's a game of chicken at this point. "give us assets or we trade him to a team that will give him 90 mil -- much more than you can pay."

i'd go for Millsap though anyway...

Please believe we will not give up much....I think we will have the better offer of the teams involved unles the bucks trade Ellis..

+++T. Jones is J.Smoove lite , i actually think they should consider a package starting with T. jones rather than T.Robinson.

    T.Jones
    J.Anderson
    pick

    or

    Parsons
    T.Jones
    2nd Rd Pick
    *Best deal*

He's a good player but I would prefer LA and Love to him. Pretty sure the Hawks would do that in a second. They're letting Smith go and won't be competeting in the East for a while

that 2nd one would be a great offer for the Hawks... actually more than i'd offer. but if Morey does offer Parsons+Jones, Atlanta would have to take it.
The Milwaukee/Monta offer actually doesn't look so nice since Monta is expiring himself -- which means trading for him gives nothing.

Rockets wouldn't either. 3 million in cap space for potential all star free agent, Parsons, and Asik is much greater than Horford. Rockets are not going to give up any of their cap space right now for the offseason.

Disagree. You're underestimating Parsons and Asik's worth, imo.

Atlanta has killed some great teams this year with Al Horford and no Smith. OKC, Pacers, i don't remember who else. Horford is a beast, on both ends. Easily their most important player.

They are going to build around Horford like Portland around LaMarcus.

Besides, Asik is same age as Horford and Parsons is just two years younger. Even if Atlanta decided to blow it up for youth, it wouldn't make sense.

But never really won anything in the Playoffs. To me, Horford is definitely a second tier guy, but definitely on the bottom end. I wouldn't call him a beast.

Those are two teams currently doomed to be mediocre muuch like we were until we got Harden. Those are complimentary players.

It would be a horrible deal for Houston

I feel like a move for Danny Granger may happen especially now that George has taken the next step. Jones, Garcia, and 2nd rd picks for Granger.

Not that I'm weeping over Mook being traded, but it doesn't seem like he was needed to be traded. As it is now we've got some green PFs.
