I disagree, because Robinson and Morris are very different players. Robinson, according to most scouts/analysts, has much higher potential. He is also a 21 year old rookie who has not had the benefit of a full season of D-league the way Morris (age 23 second year player) did.

    The point being that Robinson

    a) Has higher potential

    and

    b) Is not as far along his development path as a basketball player.

Completely agree. I think Jones will be the one to go in a trade. Morey will let the coaching staff work with Robinson for the rest of the season and offseason before trading him away. The kid is a really hard worker and is extremely coachable. If he develops a jumper over the summer (Amare did it) then he would be a very difficult guy to guard with his ball handling skill and athleticism.

Morey has done an unbelievable job managing this team. He's gotten us what I consider to be the best SG in the game, the flexibility to add another star, and an really good big man on a great contract. Not to mention Parson is a legit starting 3 that we grabbed in the 2nd round. The Rockets are in great shape

now everyone apart from our starting 5 should be available for a pick.

as proven by the harden trade, picks are so much more valuable than actual players.

    I'd trade

Terrence Jones for a 1st Rounder
Donatas Motiejunas for a 1st rounder
Thomas Robinson for a 1st rounder

a 1st rounder would be so much more flexible when it comes to Sign and Trades in the summer for a big name free agent.

Motiejunas has barely shown any flashes of brilliance. Its all been hype when it comes to him. Same goes for Terrence Jones.

Robinson is a great player, however if we can flip him away for a good pick I'd do it. I love this guy and his tenacity, but he is not our long-term answer at PF when you have Asik starting -- both cannot score outside the low-block area.

Having an abundance of picks might be the crucial difference between pulling off a sign and trade for a superstar and not pulling off one.

Aaaand then we have nobody to play PF, no bench, we miss the playoffs, and no free agents want to come here. Brilliant!

So both teams saved money, is that right? Amazing how nobody knew T-Rob was available, thank you Morey for having a good relationship / trading history with the Kings!

Personally I'd be happy just getting back JaJuan Johnson from the D-League. Its not about this season. Its all about stashing as much assets as we can to make a big run at Dwight Howard in the summer. I'd hate to compromise our efforts to land the best C in the league just because we are afraid of letting go of our pet-project.

Realistically I doubt we'll be able to trade all those PF's already on the roster, so whoever is left on the roster after a couple of trades can play PF.

And also we're gonna be absorbing some expirings in those trades, ala Francisco Garcia.

We don't need to make anymore trades to land Howard. We're already in position to do that. If he forces a sign and trade then the Lakers get what they can. Look at what the Cavs got for Lebron. No need to dump DMo or Robinson unless you're making a trade today. Those assets are better served being used to land a guy like Kevin Love.

White is untradeable right now and probablyfor the forseeable future. DMo and Robinson are both auditioning for the starting spot and for a future trade. Both won't be here come the end of the trade deadline next year

I wouldn't. Asik and Parsons are both legitmate starters at their positions under good contracts. That's a deal you offer for Love or Aldridge

Agreed. We're not getting Dwight anyhow.
