We're going to miss Patrick this season. Robinson won't know squat about our system initially, and it might take him a while to fit in, maybe not until next season. I hope not, but it does concern me. We lost 3 rotation players. Even Aldrich was giving us a few decent minutes recently. That loss of depth will take its toll. We could even miss the playoffs because of this deal. I hope not, but it's possible. I think it makes the potential Rip Hamilton deal more important. We could really use a vet like him to step in and contribute right away.
I've been a defender of Pat Pat ever since the Rockets drafted him and it's sad to see him go. Couldn't care less about scrub Toney Douglas or complete scrub Cole Aldrich (or Markus Morris going to Phoenix). I also don't think much of Thomas Robinson at all (as an NBA player). Scratching my head on this one unless it's table-setting for a bigger move in a few hours. In fact, I'm excited by what might happen.
Don't feel too bad for him, the team should be moving to Seattle soon, and that's a heck of lot better than Sactown, and they have great fans
Pat, I really appreciate your hard work and 110% effort. You brought it every night and you were a class act. I know you'll have great success in Seattle. You've got a long and prosperous career ahead. Thanks for being a great rocket. Wish you nothing but the best!
