Morris' salary plus expirings gives us enough space to take in Josh Smith. I also think Morris' salary going to Chicago for RIP should get them out of lux tax land. I'm still holding out for a Morris to Chicago, RIP to Utah, Nando or Mills to Utah, PPat (or possibly Greg Smith) to SA, and Millsap and rights to Mirotic to Houston.
Morris was a recent lottery pick. If the Rockets can't get something substantial in their deal, then chalk that up as a bad pick.
Theyre trying to cut money, I don't think that would put them also. And why get a second round pick when they will trade the first pick in a salary dump
I think this could possibly open up some room for TJones. I really think they want D-Mo to play backup Center. But who knows.
Patrick Patterson 6-9 235 Marcus Morris 6-9 235 Donatas Motiejunas 7-0 222 Terrence Jones F 6-9 252 DMO is taller and T-Jones is stronger than PPAT and MM, which are potentially better rebounder. If the rockets can get a 1st rounder and a legit backup C/G in return, I an fine with this.
