Why would they give more when there's a team that would take rip and the first pick alone, I think the grizzlies have said they would do it. Also I think that wouldn't put them out of paying luxury tax since ppat and Morris both make around 2 million

 

Things sure are quiet on the Rockets rumor front. Does this mean a surprise deal or HOU is just waiting for free agent period?

 

I believe Morey has stated many times he would prefer to keep cap space for the summer and just get draft picks, so Im not expecting anything big

Rockets also get Mirotic or CHA 1st Rounder. Either gives us options in the offseason to make a play @ Dwight after we cut Hamilton and let his salary hit at 3.33 million a season.

Chicago would want to get under the Luxury tax. This trade would not get them under the tax.

 

Oh okay, maybe do the trades separate then and don't send smith to Chicago. I'm not completely aware of how much they need to cut but the gist is get Josh Smith for assets and gain a new asset by taking on Rip Hamilton.

A trade that I'd love to see is an Asik package for Noah + Rip. Obviously not happening but Noah is really good friends with Parsons.
