Clicked on draft express to read about Nikola Mirotic. McAfee pops up saying that a trojan had been detected and deleted. Ok. Then more trojans detected and deleted. Ok. Then some application opens up saying many more problems. Spyware, trojans and p*rn MALWARE. WTF I am the only one who uses this computer and I have never been to an adult site or anything like it. This is a work computer and it's used for work along with occasional browsing on well known, trusted sites. I don't even go to sites with non-p*rn pictures of women. How could this have happened???? I'm just sitting here waiting for someone from IT to come by, take a look, gasp then relay to my superiors that I've been swimming in p*rn while at work. I can feel a firing coming on. ****in hell man. I'm freaking out here.
robbie360 just posted the same thing in the draft thread. I'd recommend everybody avoid the website. Oh, and if you get the chance report this to google.
No kidding. If I get fired for this I'll be lucky to be at McDonalds. I'm paying off an engagement ring, planning a wedding, and was about to put an offer in on a house. I'm tempted to just walk out right now and never come back. Might be better than the potentially massive embarrassment.
Hard to believe, I know, but I'm too paranoid to do it. I have two other computers, a tablet and a smartphone though. So it's not that hard to be restrained.
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about this if this is a first offense and you're in good standing. You goofed off once and went on a basketball site. You just got unlucky. Worst case scenario you get a stern lecture about not misusing company computers.
you may not have visited a p*rn site, but tell that to the IT guys when they notice the best ass thread in this forum
I meant that I don't even go to sites that show, for example, women in bikinis. Or sites like Chive. That's what my phone is for. Still waiting for someone to come look at it.
Lol I'm not sure why you can't just tell them the truth. If you freak out this much about something like this, I can't imagine what's gonna happen when you buy a house or something.
Am I really overreacting? I have no prior "offenses" but I have more than a little bit of security sensitive data on my computer. That's why I'm concerned. I have talked to 5 different support desk people and none of them know wtf is going on. I'm still waiting for the field IT guy to show up. I hope ya'll are right, but in the meantime I'm thinking of skipping town and changing my name to Ron Mexico. And Fyreball, I am going to tell them the truth. Whether they believe it or not, who knows
