he's not soft. also it's way too early to think about fit. he wouldn't join the league for several years most likely, by that time he might be traded. He looks like a legit asset to have.

Too many threads with same report, there a way to combine into one? I hope the Rockets do make some moves that will benefit the team and not cost them down the line. I still would like the organization to go after a legit PF to help the team get the playoffs.

Motiejunas is clearly the future at the 4. I think he might crack the rotation soon.

Too many PFs has been a problem for years for this club... now coming back to bite us. Jones could be useful.

How is it coming back to bite us? We will gain something if we trade him. We ain't losing squat.

Looking like Rockets want same amount of talent, but more cap space now and this summer.

All of them have upside, even Royce at this point.... just not much PT to give around

    It's now or never
All of a sudden we go from rebuilding and retooling to 'being close to a contender status within 2 seasons'

I'm not opposed to trading him. I'm just opposed to trading him for a mid-1st rounder, to the extent it's not part of a larger trade where we get something of real value. Jones has more value than a mid-1st rounder.

If none of u guys prefer Morris/Patterson over Jones, What makes u think GMs with 1st round picks in their hands will? You gotta trade value to get value. If that also happens to be something you can afford to give up because you have in abundance, then why not? We Should know by now to trust morey with draft picks.

Something of a real value? That would be likely a star player, who would most likely eat into our capspace in the summer.

Might as well trade him for a first rounder. See what happened with the Lowry trade which lead to the Harden blockbuster? First rounders have much more trade value than Terrence Jones.

I like that idea Carl brought up about trading for O'neal and the Lakers 2015 first round pick. They may not even have Dwight, Pau, and Kobe on the roster anymore at the time when that pick becomes useful which would be good for us considering how low the protection on the pick is. Top-5 protected in 2015, Top-3 protected in 2016 and 17, unprotected in 2018.

Jones worth is a mid first rounder. I could see him being traded for a pick that is guaranteed top be from 10-20. Costs less in salary cap. Get about the same value unless you get lucky and it is a 10th pick.

Depends on first round pick, but as long as Morey guarantees it isn't a 21 or lower pick, it will be good value.
