How about we make a trade to Orl for 2Pat, Delfino, Aldrich & Douglas for JJ and Nelson.

with that we can have a bench who can run score also.

    Lin / nelson
    Harden / JJ / Anderson
    Parson / TJ / White
    Morris / Donuts
    Asik / Smith

Since Min wants to give their Picks y dont we trade this: morey wants to do a small trade and use up to 6 mill in cap for this year and then use rest of it for FA so y dont we just work out a trade this way it will clear room for our youngsters to play and see what they can do so might help us in a sign n trade for another star.

houston out: 2Pat, Morris, Smith & Douglas
Houston In: Alexey (PG) and Stiemsma (C) and give us the picks

    Min out; Alexey, Stiemsma
Min In: 2Pat, Morris, Smith & Douglas
"Minnesota has been aggressive in offering multiple first-round picks for established talent, league sources tell Y!"

    Lin/ Alexey
    Harden / Anderson
    Parson / Delfino
    Donuts / TJ
Asik / Steisma (which ever his name is spelled)

and then hopefully we can sign smith in FA and then trade Asik + White + 2013 picks for Howard and our line up would look like

    LIN
    HARDEN
    PARSON
    SMITH
    HOWARD

Thats looks like a championship calling in 2014

It's already been reported that Josh Smith is gonna want a max contract in the off-season and some teams will give him that. Now, how are you going to fit 3 max players with Lin's contract and still have a bench to worry about. It's just not possible.

Add to that, having a Howard/Smith front line will not only give us spacing problems since both can't shoot jumpers and both are horrible free throw shooters (Dwight 49% ft, Smith 50% ft). Teams would just clog up the lane and make it hard for Harden to penetrate. If you want Dwight Howard center, you should have a stretch power forward whom defenders can't leave open for jumpers. Anyway, bottom line, this lineup just won't work salary cap wise.

Its a possibility that we might have to give away Asik and Lin together. once we do that i think we should be good to go on 3 all stars.

Don't see the Rockets as a great trade fit, but GS being another team looking to get under the tax might give the Rockets some leverage in talks with the Bulls, as other teams with cap space (PHX, CLE) might settle for cash and/or the Warriors '14 2nd rounder to take on one or two of their minimum players.

EDIT: Grizzlies might let teams off the hook for cheap:

Just saw a highlight video on Nikola Mirotic, dude looks like the real deal, maybe Morey plays the luxury tax card hard on Chicago and get him along with Rip Hamilton for draft picks and maybe Ppat or Morris

Seriously doubt they will even think about that. Bulls got a steal with Mirotic. He's been balling.

    Brooklyn Send Out:Brook Lopez,Kris Humphries,MarShon Brooks,C.J. Watson,Keith Bogans,1st Round Pick

    Team Depth After Trade

    Houston
    Lin/Watson/Beverly
    Harden/Anderson
    Parsons/Delfino/Bogans
    Aldridge/Morris/Smith/White
    Asik/Donuts/Sacre

    Brooklyn
    Williams/Douglas/Taylor/Smith
    Johnson/Matthews/Pavlovic
    Wallace/Stackhouse/Shengalia/James
    Evans/Blatche/Teletovic
    Howard

    Lakers
    Nash/Duhon/Morris
    Kobe/Meeks
    Peace/Clark/Ebanks
    Humphries/Jamison/Freeland
    Lopez/Hill/Aldrich

    Portland
    Lillard/Blake/Price
    Brooks/Williams/Barton
    Batum/Babbit/Clever
    Gasol/Patteron/Jones/Jeffries
    Hickson/Leonard

*Gets Brooklyn 1st Round 2013 Pick
    *LA Second Round 2013 Pick

Why The Teams Do It (IMO)

Houston gets Aldridge an all star PF and will fit in in the startling lineup perfectly with the rest of the four.Watson,Sacre,Bogans are fillers and just for depth. Slightly downgrade our bench but keep our most important player of the bench in Delfino and Morris.

Portland does it mostly to drop Matthews Contract and regain a great talent in MarShon Brooks and Terrence Jones. They get Pau Gasol and All-Star and former Champion who can help lead the new young team. They get depth at PF and PG with Blake and Patterson. Also they get 2 picks for next years draft, also they can throw some money at Hickson in the off season. It will jsut be tough for them to bite on Pau.

Brooklyn Does it well cause they want Dwight,he can get familiar with the team now then resign in the summer since he wants to play there. They dont even use Kris or MarShon and if they do they use them sparingly. they also get two expiring in Douglas and Smith. They get Wesley Matthews who can be instant scoring for them off the bench.

Lakers do this to get rid of Dwight they get Brook Lopez who is a better player this season then Dwight this way Kobe and Nash can actually try to leave there teams in the playoffs with out the distraction of Dwight and Drama. They also get bigs which they need, Kris wasnt used in Brooklyn,he can score and definitely crash the boards. They get Aldrich as an expiring and a guy who can help grab a couple boards if something happens to Lopez or Humphries.Freeland is there as a filler but they need bigs for depth so they could use him.
