Do what? I have stayed there a couple times and never noticed this. The bathrooms on the main floor?

My favorite comment in that thread was when the guy said his friend replied and told him it was just a theme room ... "They got to him."

    I rofl'd.

I would like to believe the narrative on this one. I think it's very convenient for the hotel to say "Oh, that's just a theme room" when the public becomes aware of it and have this all go away. I don't doubt that they are "theme rooms" in some fashion, but I bet they're on an "only if you know about it and otherwise we'll pretend they don't exist" basis. For them to tell the guy, "Oh, sorry we're not supposed to rent that room" that sounds to me like, "Oh, we're not supposed to rent that room to Joe Schmoe."

Why would you go to the trouble of making theme rooms with specially selected art, furniture, and layout and then not advertise it? My theory is that a few lawyers or oil executive frat buddies probably pay them to keep that room on retainer. It's like in Skyfall where Bond goes to the casino and gives them the special chip and they desk clerk is like "Of course sir. Just a moment" and then goes to inform her nefarious liasons that someone cashed it in. Except instead of a suitcase of cash and house chips, the bellhop floods the room with escorts who have no immediate family and illicit designer substances.

I've been to ZaZa a few times and went to a wedding a few months ago. I agree that it's mostly hype just like Hotel Derek was before that.

Beard, calm down dude. There are more than a few "themed rooms" there. This isn't some big secret or anything and I have no idea why this was on friggin' Reddit?

These include some "Concept" or themed suites and then there's the 7th floor, called the "Mag 7". These rooms are open to the public (kinda, lol $$$$), but hardly anyone knows about them, plus they're not cheap. The absolute best is the Tycoon Suites at the top and the downtown skyline. I've attended a couple of parties there, and damn it's sweet!

I'm pretty sure that the top floor is the 12th floor, and they are called the Magnificent 7 because there are 7 themed suites on that floor. The 11th floor also has 9 Concept suites that are themed. Both floors are private floors that require a keycard in the elevator.

My wife and I were scheduled to stay in the Moulin Rouge suite for our anniversary a few years ago, but they notified us about a week earlier that the air conditioner was broken so it wouldn't be available. They upgraded us to the Warwick Apartment suite which was amazing.
