    Ray Parrish is a living legend in the local education community. Just before Christmas he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Some of the kids at his HS are trying to get Beyonce to come to NC for a fundraising concert.

    Ray's wife was my daughter's kindergarten teacher.

    Seriously though, Beyoncé used to live in Houston, and her mom still lives in my old neighborhood: Lake Olympia in Missouri City. You could try to contact her mom if you are lucky.

    Beyonce and her family won't help you unless there is something in it for them. They are not the friendliest or most helpful people. They were on several boards we were on and clearly had different motivations.

    She went to HSPVA before I went there. Sometimes she'd pop her head in, but I don't really know her that well.

    Matter of fact, one of my friends took her sister to prom....

    Some of you are just unbelievably childish and insensitive. This thread might make its way back to Ray's community where they will be dumbfounded by your lack of compassion. Thanks to the rest of you with decency.

    You never know who will see it. There are search engines. I would never send it to anyone associated with Ray or his recovery with such cruel and juvenile behavior exhibited.

    Please clean up your mess just in case...

    I was at HSPVA when she was still enrolled. She and her sister would stop by the school once in a while. This was in the "no,no,no" days

    Most of us don't know Ray personally, and don't have a way to contact Beyonce. It's just jokes on an internet basketball forum, and you're crusading like we're trolling the Texas Children's Hospital website. Relax.

    Either way, I hope Ray has a speedy recovery.
