    Actual quotes from the article:

    1. Kobe doesn't care for Dwight:

    2. Dwight doesn't care much about the whole LA glamor and marketing thing, and would instead value "sustainable success" and "winning":

Doesn't sound like he's looking forward to staying with old ass sub .500 team whose star hates him.

I live downtown and was around alot of people visiting for the game, and all I heard was how great the city is. A few of the more affluent people I talked to who go to all star weekend every year said they always love to come to Houston, and it's a better host city than some of the past cities who have hosted.

Idk what all star weekend experience you had, but players, coaches, celebs and fans who have been asked about their experience have said nothing but positive things about Houston(well prob not Gregg Popovich, who had some issues checking into his hotel, friend works there)

Funny enough, the Rockets have actually had a significantly harder schedule thus far than they will have the rest of the year.

Bun B got big. the last two times I saw him at TC for the Rockets games he looked pretty heavy set. I guess he's living large right now. Anyways Beyonce doing back to back to back big time events? I am sure she was looking to chill.

I am sure Stern didnt want anything to do with the Houston Rap Scene, i.e. Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Kirko Bangs, etc.

The city has very little control over what happens in the arena in any Allstar game, in fact, the NBA takes over everything, including both the programming and even ticker distribution. The Rockets didn't hire Ne-Yo or Nick Cannon and something like 90% of the tickets were not sold to actual local Rockets fans but rather distributed by the NBA to sponsors, player families, etc. Lots of these corporate sponsor types apparently found better things to do (maybe hanging out at the lounge or even outside in a strip club or the Galleria).

The city's hosting has more to do with the off court stuff-- places to hang out, venues for parties, dinners, etc.-- the tourism side of things. And by all reports visitors (from Chris Bosh to Zach Lowe) had fun.

Lol, seriously? Before they played the first game of the season, the Lakers were a superteam. Nash/Bryant/Artest/Gasol/Howard. They were supposed to challenge the Heat for the championship. Meanwhile, the conversation around the Rockets was whether they'd pick in the early lottery or the late lottery.

Now the Lakers are a disaster (despite having Howard) and a laughing-stock that will likely miss the playoffs altogether while the players all blame each other for screwing it up. And, they have limited ability to fix things with a huge payroll, veteran players close to retirement, few trade chips outside their supposed stars, and their biggest trouble-maker is almost impossible to trade because he makes almost $30m/year and has a no-trade clause. Meanwhile, the Rockets have come up with one of the best offenses in the league and are headed for a likely playoff berth despite their youth and they have enough cap space to potentially add a max contract player to that mix.

The Rockets weren't supposed to even be mentioned in the same sentence as the Lakers, and now not only are they better right now, they're trending up from here, with a potential leapfrog offseason, whereas the Lakers are doing miserably now and trending to do even worse in the future with no life preservers left on deck. And Howard is supposed to look at these two situations and think he's got better luck in LA? He might not come to Houston. He might even stay in LA (if Kobe leaves). But, there's no way he's looking at this and thinking he's in a cherry spot right now.

This post is much better than Cats. I laughed. I cried. I felt at one with the universe. I'll read it again tonight, and will most certainly see it in my dreams.

The Rockets have had the 3rd hardest schedule in the NBA so far, and substantially harder than the Lakers.

This loser Faker fan is just clinging to the small hopes his team gets the honor of being swept in the first round.

Nope. Unless that PF is Aldridge or Love sit on that cap space.

Last thing the Rockets need to do is be impatient and trade for Millsap.

How does that have anything to do with the city itself? Did the life force of Houston choose ****ty artists like Neo? Amenities such as stadium, dining and facilities are world class. So just stfu.

Actually the word going around is that this was one of the best hosted AllStar Weekends ever. You're just mad that the Rockets have a player that people want to play with at this point in his career.

This has got to be one of the most twisted posts I have ever read. You couldn't have gotten things any more wrong. Obvious troll is obvious.

I am with you on this: Do you think Love can be had or JSmith on Thursday? I will take either one of these players.

FYI, the Rockets have the toughest first half schedule in the league with the most back to back and 4 games in 5 night games. Get your facts straight before you go on trolling forums.

Do not feed the troll, people.
