I know it's sung by Kermit the Frog in a movie, but look up the lyrics and people's interpretations of "Rainbow Connection". Very deep lyrics with many, many different meanings to a lot of people.

You've got a lot of work ahead of you...

    "Gates Of Eden"

Of war and peace the truth just twists
    Its curfew gull just glides
    Upon four-legged forest clouds
    The cowboy angel rides
With his candle lit into the sun
Though its glow is waxed in black
All except when 'neath the trees of Eden.

The lamppost stands with folded arms
    Its iron claws attached
To curbs 'neath holes where babies wail
    Though it shadows metal badge
All and all can only fall
With a crashing but meaningless blow
No sound ever comes from the Gates of Eden.

The savage soldiers sticks his head in sand
    And then complains
Unto the shoeless hunter who's gone deaf
    But still remains
Upon the beach where hound dogs bay
    At ships with tatooed sails
Heading for the Gates of Eden.

    With a time-rusted compass blade
    Alladin and his lamp
    Sits with Utopian hermit monks
Side saddle on the Golden Calf
And on their promises of paradise
You will not hear a laugh
All except inside the Gates of Eden.

    Relationships of ownership
    They whisper in the wings
To those condemned to act accordingly
    And wait for succeeding kings
And I will try to harmonize with songs
    The lonesome sparrow sings
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden.

    The motorcycle black madonna
    Two-wheeled gypsy queen
    And her silver-studded phantom cause
The gray flannel dwarf to scream
As he weeps to wicked birds of prey
Who pick up on his bread crumb sins
And there are no sins inside the Gates of Eden.

    The kingdoms of Experience
In the precious wind they rot
    While paupers change possessions
Each one wishing for what the other has got
And the princess and the prince
Discuss what's real and what is not
It doesn't matter inside the Gates of Eden.

The foreign sun, it squints upon
A bed that is never mine
    As friends and other strangers
From their fates try to resign
    Leaving men wholly totally free
To do anything they wish to do but die
And there are no trials inside the Gates of Eden.

At dawn my lower comes to me
And tells me of her dreams
With no attempts to shovel the glimpse
Into the ditch of what each one means
At times I think there are no words
But these to tell what's true
And there are no truths outside the Gates of Eden.

    Bob Dylan

If you are looking for something seriously complex, then here you go. Multiple ways to interpret the lyrics, so it could be a challenge but I'm sure your teacher would appreciate tackling something like this.

    Lyrics:
flash that buttery gold, jittery zeitgeist
wither by the watering hole, border patrol
what are we to heart huckabee art ****ery suddenly?
not enough young in his lung for the waterwing
    colorfully vulgar poacher outta mulch
like "i'm 'a pull the pulse out a soldier and bolt"
    fine
sign of the time we elapse
when a primate climb up a spine and attach
eye for an eye by the bog like swamps and vines
they get a rise out of frogs and flies
so when a dog-fight's hog-tied prize sorta costs a life
their mouths water on a fork and knife
and the allure isn't right, no score on a war torn beach
where the cash cow's actually beef
blood turns wine when it leak for police
    like "that's not a riot it's a feast, let's eat!"

    CHORUS:
and i will remember your name and face
on the day you are judged by the funhouse cast
and i will rejoice in your fall from grace
with a cane through the sky like "none shall pass"

    high,
aah, fly me up high! x2
    none shall pass
aah, fly me up high! x2
    none shall pass

if you never had a day a snow cone couldn't fix
you wouldn't relate to the rogue vocoder blitz
how he spoke through a no-doz motor on the fritz
cause he wouldn't play roll over fetch like a b****
and express no regrets, though he isn't worth a homeowner's piss
to the jokers who pose by the glitz.
    fine
sign of the swine in the swarm
when a king is a w**** who comply and conform
miles outside of the eye of the storm
with a siphon to lure out a prize and award
while avoiding the vile and bazaar that is violence and war
    true blue triumph is more
like wait, let it snake up outta the centerfold
let it break the walls of jericho
ready? go! sat where the old cardboard city folk
swap tales with heads like every other penny throw

    Chorus

    "you tried to trick me
    you've gotta lot of nerve"
"i'm not trying to trick you
i'm -trust me- i'm -trust me- i'm trying to help"

okay, woke to a grocery list
goes like this: duty and death
anyone object come stand in the way
you could be my little snake river canyon today
and i ran with a chain of commands
and a jet pack strap where the back-stab lands if it can
    fine
sign of the vibe in the crowd
when i cut her belly open to find what climb out
what a bit of gusto he muster up
to make a dark horse rush like enough is enough
it musta struck a nerve so they huff and puff
'til all the king's men fluster and cluster****
    and it's a beautiful thing
to my people who keep an impressive wingspan
    even when the cubicle shrink
you gotta pull up the intruder by the root of the weed
    NY chew thru the machine

    Chorus

    "i'm trying to help"

No kidding. Once I really listened the lyrics blew my mind. The clock of life is ticking! We need to make something of ourselves (party in the song) before it's too late!

You're not very bright, are you?

You seem to always ask for homework help..
    <br>
These are such easy topics as well. You can honestly pick anything and relate it to anything remotely associated with the song as long as it is coherent. It will make sense and your teacher will probably think you put thought into it. That's all you really want anyways.

The Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. There is no requirement that the song have lyrics, right?

Don't listen to any of these stoners, they are pulling out songs from before plate tectonics occurred that are extremely boring and obscure in an effort to sound deep. Think trucker soul. The perfect song to go with is pocahontus - colors of the wind. It's a hit with the ladies, easy to decipher and has all kinds of life lessons.

Basically, it's the story of understanding, acceptance and getting out of your comfort zone to grow as a person. Its very similar to my middle school romance of a tall Nordic blonde who invaded the pants of a brown Hawaiian girl. She taught me all about the importance of nature.

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn some things you never knew, never knew

Disney is the gold standard for deep songs. And the teacher of a class silly enough to write essays about songs is going to love it, they all eat up senor Walt.
