http://www.csnhouston.com/blog/2013-nba-all-star-weekend/nba-legends-brunch-honors-seven-rockets Awesome! Would love to have seen this....
Wouldnt say everyone. The city of Houston is hosting. And the NBA is paying tribute to Rocket Legends. Would call Hakeem, Clyde, Yao, Calvin, Horry and Rudy T just "anyone"
You can watch them all here: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/allstar/2013/02/17/20130217-legends-hakeem.nba/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts
This would have been awesome to attend. Wish NBA.com would post Hakeem's 17 minute speech in entirety. The only video they currently have up is a little over 3 minutes long.

When everything is said and done, I will also be a Rockets hall of famer; Say whatever bad things you want to say, You are just a hater. I'll be tweeting everyday, Create awareness with hashtag be well; To you, to everyone, to the world, Yet some still reply with a "Go To Hell". The management and I have settled our differences, Finding a common ground; It was Hard, But we've finally mended fences. I'll be balling with the Rockets soon, And prove to all of you that i have game; I might miss a few road trips though, Don't ever make me get on that damn plane. It's hard to explain what i feel, And i know it's purely mental; That's just me, Royce White, Eventually missing games in a bus rental.
I was watching the whole thing yesterday. Very well done all around. Calvin Murphy's speech was pretty energetic. He started off ranting about the way he dresses and people criticizing him for it, to then go on talking about all the people doubting him, saying he was too small, etc... only to make the point about people archiving their goals never by themselves, but as part of a group effort. Cylde was introduced by Magic who apparently is a very good friend of his. Magic said he always asked Clyde to bring some soul food from his mother with him, stating that Clyde's mom has the best BBQ place in Houston. Clyde then told a story about him being a rookie with the Blazers playing the Lakers in L.A and as he was sitting in his hotel the day before the game Magic called him inviting him to dinner, which Clyde couldn't believe as the two didn't have a relationship to this point, thinking some guy was just messing with him. Anyway, Clyde kinda finished off where Calvin started, talking about life, friends, giving back and just enjoying life. All these guys were very appreciative of Mr. Alexander. Rudy T: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/allstar/2013/02/17/20130217-legends-rudyt.nba Horry: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/allstar/2013/02/17/20130217-legends-horry.nba
I was flipping through the tv on Saturday and stumbled upon NBATV near the beginning of Dream's speech. From their I was able to catch Yao, Mutumbo, Horry and Rudy T. Great afternoon of reminising for any Rocket fan.
The Rudy T video shows why Clutch City is so dear to the players and to the fans who witnessed it. Drexler's BBQ is not good.
He was proud of all the dudes he coached and what they've become Sam and Mario being assistant coaches in the nba Clyde and Bull, Kenny Charles, broadcasting being moved by Dream's call before his HOF speech. I don't know if player/coach relationships are that close anymore.
obviously a lin fan posted this, but the whole segment was great <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PzJ6SJvBdSQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
