i don't think they'll trade him but if they did, you'd have to at least beat the Brooklyn Brook Lopez option.

    Milwaukee Bucks

    Out: Ellis - Ilyasova
In: Eric Gordon - Marcus Morris - Royce White

    Utah Jazz

    Out: Al Jefferson
In: Monta Ellis - Cole Aldrich

    New Orleans Hornets

Out: Eric Gordon - Ryan Anderson
In: Al Jefferson - Patrick Patterson - Tony Douglas

    Houston Rockets

Out: Patrick Patterson - Tony Douglas - Marcus Morris - Royce White - Cole Aldrich

In: Ersan Ilyasova - Ryan Anderson

With this trade, Utah Jazz can get their PG and give Al's minutes to their young bigs. Bucks are not happy with Ellis and Ilyasova so Eric Gordon would be a good gamble for them. Also Henson will get Ilyasova's minutes. Hornets have good pg in Vasquez, and two youngsters they want to develop; Rivers and Davis. Thus they want to sell EG in return for an offensive big man so Big Al would be a good choice. In order to sell EG and create extra minutes for Jefferson and Davis, Anderson should be part of the trade. Jazz need to create minutes for their young bigs and Bucks send Anderson type big man so Anderson is not a target for them. Thus Rockets become a part of this trade.

For the Rockets, Ilyasova and Anderson are the guys what this team needs. They are quality stretch 4s can create space for Harden and Lin's drives. 96 minutes of playing time for pf-c spots can be allocated as 32-32-32 for Asik, Anderson and Ilyasova. Anderson can play center against opponents' reserve bigs.

Ilyasova is a great offensive rebounder and always follows 2nd chances. Ilyasova is also great at taking charges. He is having problem against physical bigs with high-level post offense games like Z-Bo or David West but he can defend other type of 4s very well. He can annoy anyone with his length and always hustles. He had great defensive games against Lamarcus Aldridge, Nowitzki, David Lee, Josh Smith etc. Anderson can defend Z-Bo - David West type 4s better and McHale can make those small adjustments game to game.

In addition, McHale can create mismatches by using Ersan at 3 and Parsons at 2 with the big line up. (Asik - Anderson - Ilyasova - Parsons - Harden) Or he loves going small and with Ryan's and Ersan's rebounding skills, going small will not hurt as it does with Patrick Patterson playing center. (Anderson - Ilyasova - Parsons - Harden - Lin)

Add some draft picks to make everyone happy.

Assuming we do sign Howard in the off-season...

Rockets receive: Ryan Anderson, Robin Lopez
Hornets receive: Omer Asik, Patrick Patterson OR Marcus Morris

We get the perfect stretch 4 to compliment our offense. He's shooting 40% from behind the arc as we speak. He's been improving steadily for the past few years and I think reuniting him with Howard would do wonders for both of them. Robin Lopez provides us with one of the most underrated 7 footers in the league today, and he would make an excellent back-up to Howard, I think.

Hornets get a great defensive big man to pair with Anthony Davis; the two would be quite the dynamic duo defensively. Patterson/Morris could help make up for the loss of Anderson, and they could possibly develop moreso. Asik would also provide a reliable veteran if they draft a young center (Len, Zeller) who they can groom under him ala Jefferson/Kanter.

And if we don't get Howard, keep Asik and be on the hunt for an all-star PF.

I like it even with out Howard.

Lin , Harden, Parsons, Anderson, & Lopez

Still think the Hornets need more back though maybe both (Patterson and Morris,if they want), Delfino, too. AND one of NYK 2nd rounder if not both.

Lopez is much better then people think. He is a better fit here then his brother by far even if they were paid the same, which they are not, imo.

Glad you fancy it, but I wouldn't be willing to give up Asik UNLESS we got Howard. From what we've seen in LA, Howard cannot operate well with another big body clogging up the paint.
I wouldnt mind giving up both Morris and Patterson. We've got Motiejunas, Jones, and White waiting in the wings. I'd like to keep Del3no, for some veteran leadership. The pick maybe can go.

ugh... DMo as the primary backup for both PF/C means a lot of weaknesses in our second team.

I think it's just a matter of time before DMo is our starting PF, and he would fit well with Howard. He has the inside/outside game that will allow us to spread the floor and continue to run the break. IMO, DMo is a potentially better version of Ryan Anderson.

And I'm not worried about the second team. Morey will figure all that out once we have the right foundational pieces in place.

With Smith effectively benched it's not like we have a legitimate backup to either position currently... that's why McHale goes small ball so much.

    Per 36-

    Lopez:
    16.26 PPG
    7.64 rebounds
    2.22 blocks
    1.67 TO
    56.3% FG
    75.8% FT

    Asik:
    12.6 PPG
    13.8 rebounds
    1.32 blocks
    2.76 TO
    54.5% FG
    55.6% FT

While Asik is no doubt a great rebounder, Lopez is outperforming him in every other statistical way. And for less money. We should have signed him this summer.

As long as Josh Smith and Paul Milsap are not a Rocket and Morris and/or Patterson are else where then I am happy. Want to free up time for D-Mo and T-Jones but mainly D-Mo.

Yeah Asik is the far better player. Robin is no where nearly as good as Asik on Defense and Asik is way better rebounder which are the two things that Asik was signed for. Anything else is just gravy an we have been getting a lot of gravy this season. Robin is not as good only trading away Asik if Howard in the a Rocket uni.

would you go after Jennings...I think he is the perfect 6 man for us and the style we run...and since Bucks are not looking to play the Heat then why not improve this team for the stretch run...and he is expiring anyways so no harm if he doesn't work out....

    1st Trade:

Patterson, Douglas and 2014 2nd Round Pick (NY) for Jennings

    2nd Trade:

Cole Aldrich & 2015 2nd Round Pick for Byron Mullens

    Lin / Harden / Parsons / Morris / Asik

    Jennings / Delfino / Jones / Mullens

Motiejunas (his body is not ready) , Anderson (will not be on the team next year), Beverley (will not be on the team next year)

minor moves that will help us for the stretch run and the playoffs

Why people think BJ Mullens is good is beyond me.
