I would scream TROLLOLOLOLOL but I had someone say this to me in real life a couple weeks ago. It took a lot to not say something like, "No, that's not how it works you ****ing dumb*** piece of ****. *** **** you are a ****ing moron etc etc etc." I wonder where people are hearing this from?
Props KOD......it's getting ridiculous. Getting tired of Spanish announcers over crappy pixel drizzle.....
Have they been asked? How would they know? They've likely submitted numerous offers back and forth. If they're denied, how are they to know who is behind that? I'm still left with this...imagine this is where we are. That literally the Houston Rockets turned over their entire TV package to the Houston Astros, a completely separate organization in a totally different league...with the power to keep them off the air FOR YEARS while they get the deal that's best for the Astros, regardless of whether or not it's best for the Rockets. IF the Rockets management and ownership is that dumb, then holy crap, we have a lot bigger problems than not being able to watch them on TV. That's why I have such a hard time with this concept. Because you have to accept this premise...that the Rockets (with all their attorneys) and the NBA (with all its influence and attorneys) looked over these deals and said, "Yes! We want to do this! Let's turn over to the Houston Astros the entire decision with respect to when our product can ever be viewed on television!! Yes!! Great!!" That's very difficult for me to wrap my head around.
It's getting beyond frustrating. I go over to my friend's as often as I can to watch the games, but the rest of the time I'm forced to watch a crappy feed on my computer. I would be completely shocked if DirecTV and AT&T ever back down in this dispute. Those companies have more money than they even know what to do with, and they do not need to cave in here. The Rockets and Astros need to realize that they are alienating their fan base and get this deal done. If it's not already hurting their bottom line (which I believe it is), it will at some point soon. Besides, it's just the right ****ing thing to do. These are your hometown fans. We should be able to watch. Get it done.
Well then hahahahah What is the problem then? Who is holding up the deal? And why are DirectTV and the other providers not providing the channel? CSN Houston has commercials saying you need to call your provider saying you want the channel which doesnt make sense to me cause if ur watching the channel why would you need it...
They're asking you to demand it of your carrier...to call your carrier and ask for it. I guess they assume there's lots of people watching it at friends' houses or out at sports bars. Those commercials run on other channels other than CSN as well.
with the lack of the Rockets on TV.....it's like the save our rockets campaign failed and they skipped town.
There's a 3,000 post thread stickied in the GARM about this very issue. Who is to blame, what is to be done, blah blah blah. But really no one has any answers since none of us are at the negotiating table. It's just kind of sad now. At least, I'm sad.
Just refer to that "Current Providers" thread. You're 5 months behind on this issue. Everything has been debated and discussed there. But real quickly I'll just say that the strategy of contacting other providers has been carried out in multiple ways with zero results. It has become obvious at this point that we're ****ed.
OP, if I were in your shoes, I would definitely go switch to Comcast. We don't have the option to switch to Dish or AT&T, so not sure what all the hype on not having comcast is? Anyhow, we can all tell this team is going to be something special, once they add the second all-star.
To all the haters...they actually answered me. Rueben, Thank you for your continued support of the Houston Rockets and for taking the time to send us your feedback. We have received an outpour of responses from our patrons and we are doing everything we can to get a deal done as soon as possible. Sincerely, Louisa James Guest Services Coordinator Nothing special. But hey. A for effort??
KOD95, can you e-mail Obama and get me one of those free phones everyone is talking about? I prefer an Iphone. Thanks in advance.
People like you piss me off. This wouldnt be an issue if you could simply call your f***ing cable company and request the channel and wala!!!!! You have it. Wouldnt one assume that every rocket fan would just do that? Come on man, get some common sense.
