Our center should just rebound. Look at Miami last year, Dallas the year before, San Antonio with their centers over the years, and even the Jordan era Bulls.

The league has moved away from the offensive center. The best position for us to improve at is at PF, and the best way for us to improve is to get a second rebounding fiend to pair up with Asik as well as one who can hit the outside 3 to space the court with regularity.

There is no player that matches this description in the NBA save Kevin Love. No one else is as good a rebounder as he, and no other big man is as good a shooter. He is, simply put, MADE for this team.

There are better players than Bosh on this list, but the OP's question seems to apply to this current squad and from a fit standpoint his game would suit our style of play very well.

This is too easy obviously D12. Yes he has issues but he's the only player on that list who would make the Rox real contenders. D12 is still a top 5 player.

So few votes for Bosh? If we could have any big man in the league it would probably be him. This is "dream" big man right? So we can pick anybody we want.

The other top contenders are Dwight, K-Love, and Aldridge. So let's examine them:

    1) Dwight Howard: Can be the most dominant defensive and rebounding center in the league, but has injury problems, can't shoot FTs, and there are questions about his character and motivation to win

    2) Kevin Love: Possibly the best rebounding and one of the best 3P shooting PFs in the game when healthy, but has battled serious injury problems lately and doesn't play defense. Great fit if healthy, but can he be healthy??

    3) LaMarcus Aldridge: Has a solid high post/face-up game mostly based around his combination of strong fadeaway mid range jumper with his 6'11" height. Does not play defense, average rebounder, his entire game is based around the most inefficient shot in basketball. Overrated player on CF, but would be a definite upgrade from what we've got.

    So what does Bosh bring?

    4) Chris Bosh: Anything LMA can do, Bosh can do, but he also plays stronger defense and is much better at taking it to the rack, resulting in a more efficient offensive game.

So for me it's down to Bosh and K-Love, and Bosh wins out because he's the better defensive player and the Rockets need strong help defense from the 4 spot very badly to plug up our defensive holes.

Great post. Only thing i would argue is Kevin Love struggling to stay healthy since he has missed games this year not because of alarming nagging injury issues but because of a freak accident which he sustained from knuckle push ups?

I agree with Bosh being a perfect fit to this team. He has all the tools the Rockets need in a big man. There are quite possibly a couple of reasons why he hasn't gotten much votes from Rockets fans.

One is he plays third fiddle in Miami, reason why he isn't featured as much as his capabilities would suggest. He'd be beasting if he was the 1st option on offense.

2nd, he had the chance to be here when he was a UFA and the Rockets actively tried to recruit him but to no avail. Fans must've given up on Bosh ever donning Rockets red.

Kevin Love would be absolutely ideal for this team as it is constructed now. He would fit well with Asik too. Chris Bosh would be my second choice then LMA.

Nerlens Noel. Trade for a top five pick(give up any combination of morris, patterson, aldrich, delfino, jones), and pick up a defensive machine who I feel if anyone can make a defensive presence like hakeem did it is him. plus his mindset about the injury is awesome. The kid is for real and a lot easier to acquire than an already proven star.

Omer Asik. If I get to keep him and add anybody else, then LeBron James.

How much upgrade could anyone in this group give us over Asik? I say not much. Actually I consider some of them are downgrading. Dwight is obviously the best in the group. But how much he is better than Asik? I say not much again. I'd stick with Asik and use the money to pry a PF.

I am a fan of asik but he is not on that level. Even with all the drama D12 still leads the lg in rebounding and is fifth in blocks. All of the D12 hate is ridiculous. Personality wise D12 is horrible but that doesn't change the fact that he is still the best big man in basketball and it's not even close.

So I'm a D12 hater because I hold the opinion that he is not much an upgrade than Asik???

    How old are you? 13?
