Well it says in the story that a FBI special agent gave a sworn statement that the old man told the lady to shut her ****** baby up. Is that not sufficient for you? I am curious why he was only charged with simple assault.
At the end. . . no justice will be served he will pay some money say some bull**** apology and go back to his life like it didn't happen Hell the money probably come from his company and not him There is not justice . . . when you have that 'privlege' Rocket River
I highly doubt his company would defend him since he wasn't working when this happened. I don't see why you believe someone can simply shake this off like it didn't happen. He will be paying this the rest of his life.
Uh oh. In addition to being a bad racism incident, it's also precariously close to becoming a game of "pin it on the airline." Clearly we need to have safety checks in place that prevent people from being racist and unpredictable.
I've been in the airline business over 25 years and have flown a LOT. Crying babies are incredibly annoying when you are exhausted and need some rest in between cities. For me, it's not something you get used to. Instead, each time seems worse the more often it happens. Still, that guy is a dirtbag. If he slapped my kid, they would have had an ambulance waiting for him at the gate after landing. At minimum he would have had a severe concussion.
Sounds like the toddler was a friend of the E*Trade baby. They were talking stocks and the toddler started laughing at him for making stupid investments.
He'll probably owe some money to the lady in addition to losing his job. Oh, and the negative publicity, of course, that comes with slapping babies and hurling racial slurs. What other justice is there that you seek in this case?
What makes you and rocket river think that? Clearly there is a huge gulf between how different races view the repercussions of this. I'm just kind of amazed at how vast it is.
I heard something mentioned on local news that alcohol might've been involved. Although I haven't heard a statement from alcohol or it's lawer.
