I doubt it...I know from personal experience that the Chinese crowd doesn't get hype

Toronto's DeRozan & Ross next season. Best no prop dunkers in recent contests.

Yeah I thought it was pretty good all things considered. I'm still laughing that Jeremy Evans dunked over a painting of Jeremy Evans dunking.

If that was (insert overrated known NBA player), then everyone would be saying it was the best dunk ever.

    I thought it was great.

those dunks were better than almost all of the old school dunks.

I dunno how you can say those Terrence Ross dunks weren't impressive.

Especially the one with the Jones pass. That was sick.

My joke flew over your head, probably in a "V" formation. Carefully re-read the post I quoted.

Would rather see DeRozan replace Griffin or Howard.

Can we all agree now that there is no longer any reason for us to allow James White to keep on living?

Actually watch these dunks. It's easy just to romanticize the past I guess. The dunks were impressive for the time. It's harder to impress people now.

I thought this was a cool dunk. I know it isn't a popular to like things on the dunk contest. but i thought it was cool.

I went to an All Star weekend day in Los Angeles in 2004 (celebrity game). I can tell you there wasnt THAT much "electricity" in the building. This is in LA after their 3-peat titles, Kobe rape trial, and Gary Payton and Karl Malone came to town. Plenty of Laker mania. And it was boring if anything.

Its all about the parties and events AROUND the festivities more than festitivities themselves. Too much social media induced narcissism to appreciate anything maybe

That said, I think All Star Weekend is "passe" now as a spotlight event. And that goes along with general dunk apathy, having seeing 98% all there is that can be seen from dunks. Anticipation for everything is now low

    liked the hang time here.

dunk contest needs personalities to keep it interesting. Dwight was great at that. He had impressive dunks and was interesting.

If you compare this dunk to Jordan and 'Nique it isn't even close.

Ross head is way below the rim. 'Nique had that smooth power, head at the rim and jam it down. Jordan had gobs of flair in the air. But both had a lot more height than Ross did there.

This one is a lot more impressive.

I think it would have been more exciting yes if this was Evans vs a Lebron or something. It's like David vs Goliath, it's something to cheer and get excited about. It's something to root for.

Still that one is very impressive, I almost just disqualify any dunk that includes dunking over someone or something now.
