Saturday Night is always the worst. Houston/fans are not to blame.

Blame the overly expensive tickets; blame the players who treat it as merely a chance to hang out and goof off; blame the NBA for picking players w/ such weak draw.

The dunks in the final round were fantastic.

But I guess it's cooler watching Blake Griffin do a much less impressive dunk just because he's Blake Griffin.

Most exciting moments of the weekend so far were the last 5 minutes of the Rising Stars game.

And I don't think the crowd should get the brunt of the blame for an overall poor presentation. They need something to cheer for...

    Yep.

The dunk contest crowds have been lame for years now. Some of yall blaming the crowd while it's taking guys 20 tries to finish off a dunk...how's that exciting?

I think they need to say that if no all-stars do it then to just close it down for that year. It would be better than to see them all goofing around on the sidelines. I know it will never happen though, as long as they can sell tickets to these things they won't care how bad it is.

Not to me they were not.

Not much flair and things we've seen before except that they were jumping over something.

At least Blake's dunk was memorable. I can honestly say I won't remember a single dunk this year.

The Good- another 10 years till Houston host the All star Weekend

The Bad- the crowd was bad , the bands were bad

The Ugly- When rocket players (Lin, Harden) barely get cheered on there home court its SAD

I heard Charles rant on the stars and still what stars would even make the dunk contest worth watching?

Only one I can think of is LeBron. Not like it's a bunch of great superstar dunkers sitting in the NBA right now.

This dunk contest had all the hype in the world because of James White and Gerald Green. They just failed to deliver.

Yep, would rather see Blake dunk. If you put Blake and Lebron in the contest it'd be much more exciting.

You act like I'm the only person saying this when pretty much the entire TNT crew said this before the festivities.

Not saying to cut out guys like Ross and White...but a star or two should be in there.

shut up. it was a terrible show with nothing to cheer for.

You want loud fans? Real Houstonians? If you went to the Galleria you would have seen how crazy fans get when they see NBA All-Stars.

how do you blame the city for crappy players in the dunk contest? Where are Blake, Dwight, Richardson and Wade?

I completely understand that. It would be more exciting because the crowd would be into it and everyone would know who is dunking. And that would make the dunk contest way more fun.

I would rather see stars perform real dunks. Not gimmicks like hte Blake dunk or the Nate Rob dunks. Because DeRozan and Iggy who had much better dunks got completely jobbed.

All Star Saturday Night??? More like Irony Saturday Night, all the stars were sitting in the front row watching two D-League dunkers trying to bring something new to the table..

I just want the stars in there.

I think it's about time they get rid of jumping over ANYTHING.

Let the dunk speak for itself. Get rid of the jumping over props. The old school dunks were cool because they had a certain flair to it. A player's body would contort in the air and you'd see it in slow motion and just be in awe.

If you look at White's attempted FT line dunk you'd see the flair in the dunk.

I just roll my eyes when I see they bring out some prop, it's tiring. Cool, we know you can jump over a kid or a painting. That should be obvious since it's several feet under the rim.

Lol, you guys want Houstonians to cheer for guys missing dunks. Let's just cheer to be cheerleaders. Fans cheer for...fans cheer for.....FANS cheer for....All-Stars..

Too much. I tried to get them and they never went on sale to the public...unless you wanted to buy some five or six hundred dollar package that included the celebrity game and Saturday night (no ASG). There are no NBA fans at this thing. Houston NBA fans are not the one's who can pay $500 for one dunk contest. We got the ASG, but we didn't get the ASG.
