Just searched the forum, here's the poll http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=225107 Most people thought we would be the worst team in the league. 15% of people thought we could have a .500 record lol, and that's on a Rockets forum. That's the same amount of people who thought we would end with 19-25 wins. Is that suppose to be a good many? There were so many tank threads, we can all remember those. I remember reading a RealGM thread way back before the season started where people were ranking us one of the worst teams in the league.
I'm not using faulty facts at all. The facts are on the ESPN web site. Harden leads the league in turnovers at 200, Lin 160, Lebron 140. Hardens assist/turnover ration is 1.5, Lin's 2.12 and Lebron is at 2.34. These are facts from ESPN and I don't think they're wrong. I'm not familiar with turnover % or the website. Perhaps u could enlighten me. I don't mind learning something new or admit that I don't know everything.
No, McHale is not amazing. Harden is just that good. Charlotte, Washington, and Cleveland have better talent on their Roaster than the Rockets do. I don't mind McHale's offense, just don't like the way he uses thd bench. Don't think he's the guy for the job in the long run.
Most people are probably people like you who underestimated the players, particularly Lin. I thought we'd make the playoffs. Probably will unless McHale reverts to the 7 game losing streak form.
Turnover percentage basically says for every 100 times Lin has the ball, he turns it over 20 times, for every 100 times Harden has the ball, he turns it over 15 times. It means that if Lin had as many possessions as Harden has had, he'd have 210 turnovers.
Nor do I, but I think he's perfect for rebuilding. I'd prefer a coaching change once the roster is complete.
THERE IS NO DISCERNIBLE DIFFERENCE IN COACHES IN A STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT SAMPLE https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&...aUw3JJ&sig=AHIEtbRmxkgkT3HH6Jf2G20E43DQLcA_gg IT IS THE PLAYERS
That would be good for the team. Clutch fans have already pointed out when Lin has more turnovers the team has less. AND WE WIN! (Are you really a Rocket fan or just a Lin hater?)
- If that's true they should hire me as coach (I did some coaching) - If that's true they should do away with coach of the year - If that's true then John Wooden is not a legend - if that's true then Bobby should get off the McHale bandwagon - If that's true this thread is irrelevant - If that's true you should keep posting on this thread because it's irrelevant Personally I don't think it's true and I'm a math major but know too much about basketball to beleieve or even read it.
Found Hollingers season prediction post Harden trade, he predicted we would win 37 games(27 pre-Harden) http://lakernation.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59646-hollingers-new-season-predictions/ We are on pace to realistically win 46-47 games. So yeah, I'm pretty sure we're overachieving.
If you actually were a math major you would know the import of such a study. Go ahead, analyze it. The Mathematics used should have been covered by first semester of your sophomore year.
There's only a few people who deny that, and I'm pretty sure they are just trolling, let them get their kicks saying ridiculous things if that's how they get their jollies.
..... Clutchfans pointed this out or fellow delusional Lin fans pointed this out? Any substantial statistical proof of this magical power or just another baseless claim?
People (including veteran members) have talked about this though. If Lin handles the ball more (don't worry, Harden still gets his), it means that Parsons/Delfino are handling it less which, usually leads to less team TO's.
