I'm not embarrassed. And I heard on the news that there was a big traffic jam because everyone was trying to get downtown. But hey, if people don't show up for these events I really don't care. It looks like most of the players don't even want to be participating in all-star competitions. Kenneth Faried was the only player that made any effort last night, and few players want to participate in the slam dunk contest. I wish they would just do away with all-star games and just keep playing the regular season.
The empty seats make me mad because the tickets were so unaffordable for real fans. We could have packed that place. But traffic has a lot to do with it.
According to this the avg price was $1700. http://www.rantsports.com/nba/2013/02/11/nba-all-star-game-sees-astronomical-jump-in-ticket-prices/
Who really cares about teams where 2/3'ds of the competitors aren't even NBA players??? And not all the NBA players involved are even all-stars. This competition deserves to be done with the celebrity game or something... on a Thursday or Friday.
I'm suprised the arena is filling up... if I was siting down, I'd actually get up and LEAVE during this portion. As I said already... this competition doesn't need to be a part of All-star saturday.
Feed cut out as Team Bosh was hitting 1:16 in the round. Just got a new feed, and they won? Wow, Team WB must have sucked.
Just saw the highlights from last year on TNT....seats were pretty empty last year as well..... it almost makes TC look full....
