I love how the OP starts with the disclaimer of not trolling and then proceeds to do just that. One day after Morey says Lin is one of the foundational players for this team moving forward. And oh yeah Dragic didn't want to be here if a player option was a deal breaker... This has been discussed ad nauseum. For the record... Dragic 14 p / 6.4 a / 2.4 TO Lin 12.6 p / 6.2 a / 2.9 TO For those mathematically challenged that is fewer than 1 bucket a game, 1 dime every 5 games, and 1 TO every 2 games... and given the pace that we run compared to PHX, thats irrelevant difference... buy the OP thinks the difference is so dramatic it would have meant "5-7 more wins" so far. You do understand that the comparison is flawed right from the get go? Dragic plays strictly PG for his team. Lin splits his time playing PG and combo G and spot up shooter and oh yeah benchwarmer.
heh? Lin's D on Westbrook was solid when they played this year. Westbrook smoked Dragic twice this year at least. Last I checked Goran's team is the 4th worst in the league, worst in the west. Let's not act like some game-changing talent got away. People say Lin can't shoot?!? His 3 pt percentage is better than Dragic this year!! Dragic has the green light and averages 14...Lin's at 12.6 and he's afraid to shoot half the time.
Dragic sucks man. He can't get his teammates involved, and that's why the Suns players have given up on him. Just ask Gortat. Last years Rockets team had a lot more talent all-around than this years team, and yet the Rockets couldn't make the postseason. This year's team is #1 in scoring and is on pace to make the 7th or 6th seed. They could be the 4th or 5th seed if they improve their defense. If Dragic was on this team, he and Harden would be ball hogging every game, and the other players would have just called it a season. Somehow fans think that you can switch players between teams and have their stats and wins carryover. Lakers fans thought this: Howard is a 20 pt scorer, Nash is a 20 pt scorer, Kobe is a 30 pt scorer, Gasol is a 20 pt scorer...so the Lakers should be averaging 130 pts a game. LOL
Stats between Lin and Dragic in the month of Feb (last 7 games) Lin: 15.1 pts, 6.7 asts, 1.1 stls, 0.7 blks, 45.5% shooting, 47.6% 3P, 86.7% FT Dragic: 13.4 pts, 6.0 asts, 1.0 stls, 0.4 blks, 40.7% shooting, 27.8% 3P, 85.2% FT
Eh, it's a stupid comparison. Dragic has nothing on that team and their coach got fired mid season. Dragic is in a horrible situation there, you can see how unhappy he is but hell he did it to himself. He's a much better fit than Lin here with Harden. Statistically they're comparable though the Rocjets have the most up tempo team in the league. The Rocks score like 12 more points per game than the Suns and Dragic is the Suns leading scorer at 14 points which is what Parsons averages. This isnt Dragic vs Lin really but how they fit on this team is night and day.
Team around him isn't that great, he's their best player right now. 21 ppg on 54% shooting for a small guy is simply incredible. So yes, if Dragic were a taller Parker, his team would have a homecourt playoff spot right now and he would be the best player in the league.
I love when the 2012'ers diss Dragić, and they didn't even watch him play last season for us. He had a great stretch of games as a starter and fit incredibly well in McHale's system. Too bad he's gone now, but you know, that's business.
Ok. We understand you didn't watch the rockets last season because you are a LOF so please don't make dumb claims. Harden>Lee Parsons = Parsons (he's a better scorer this year but his d has regressed) 2pat < scola Asik>Camby or dabear
Honestly before the season began I thought Dragic had a chance to become an all-star. Now that he's gotten the chance to be the man I'm extremely dissapointed. Dragic is averaging just over 1 point more per game than Lin this year as their leading scorer. And he's averaging the same amount of assist per game while not having to share the ball with someone like Harden. That to me says he's hit his ceiling. I rather have a younger pg like Lin that still has room to grow with this team than one that is already hitting his peak. With Dragic turning 27 in a couple of months I don't think he'll get much better. As the season as progress Dragic numbers have fallen while Lin's is showing improvement. If Lin improves his shot just a little he may surpass Dragic's numbers this year while probably being the 3rd or 4th option on this team.
Dragic and Lin 3P% are actually the same if not worse, Morey is right, he doesn't worth the player option
Right, and only 5 players are on a basketball team? You tell me which roster is better: 2011-12 squad Lowry/Dragic Martin/Lee Parsons/Budinger Scola/PPat Dalembart/Camby 2012-13 squad Lin/Douglas Harden/James Anderson Parsons/Delfino PPat/Morris Asik/Aldrich
bull ****! lin is better than dragic..look at his teams record, and if u take out november wen lin was still injured, lin has better stats
Easy, the one with one of the leagues best offensive players along with one of it's best defensive players. (harden and asik)
