Wow, that's cheap. I'm not sure what's driving prices down (I assume "3D" or some other newer feature of the latest models), but there have been some great deals on TVs lately.
60hz lcd. Big thing is LED or Plasma 120Hz & UP. (600Hz for Plasma of course and 240Hz preferred for LED) 3D is dead, Smart TVs are what's "IN" right now. Making room for 4K and 8K TVs coming soon. (4k = 4 1080p resolutions)
Say BREH, Tell me the difference between Germany, New Germany, and West Germany. I had a convo with my friend's GF last night about it and I was lost.
West Germany=western parts of Germany that were US territory after WW II. New Germany=East parts that were in UDSSR hands and later became the GDR. Germany=both parts united after 1990.
Jan/Feb is usually the time where retailers are clearing out older TV models, since the new "generation" models were revealed in early Jan at CES. Black Friday is a good time to get off brand TVs, but Jan/Feb is the best time for the name brand TVs.
Damn I still have a 46 hd tv I bought 5 yrs ago... It's still running good, I'll upgrade in another 5 yrs or so...
****, the power supply went out on my 55" plasma... this is very tempting. If I wasn't going to be away from home for a few months I'd snatch it up.
Curious, is that price ($350) what shows up at the store or has it expired, because the link now takes you to a page that says $470?
I actually bought this, but it was too damn big for my bedroom (still keeping my 60 inch Sony WEGA in the living room), so sadly I'm going to have to return it. Looks like I have to continue waiting for 42 inch name brands to hit that <$400 sweet spot.
oops, I found one that was probably just discontinued LCD model #. Good luck! not sure if LED technology would ever be under $400??
