I don't his fan realize Lin is 3rd MPG on the team. Plus only Asik and him have played and started every single game so far. I wish people just come down about his playing time as already played 573 more minute then his last 2 season combined.

Lin fans wouldn't be happy unless he was leading the team in minutes, points, rebounds, steals, assists, and had the ball in his hands for longer than anyone else. Thank god Lin fans are not, and will never, be happy.

True, but can you tell me who in the team can distribute the ball better than Lin?

Ohh.. no body. Great then. Benching the only person that can facilitate the ball.

It is simple bad rotation. Which coach takes out their pg at 6 minutes in the 1st and then bench for at least 10 minutes? McHale is the only one.

You body just warm up and now you have to let it cool down, then then warm up against in the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter. Then get cool down because 20 minutes half time, which you will then warm up your body again at the 3rd, then got taken out few minutes later, then body is cold again.

If you even pick basketball, and your team actually won the game, and you don't want to take a long break for the next match you. You go take a sip of water and started right away. Why? Because your body is warm, you don't want it to get cold.

Again, you Lin fans come up with all kinds of accusations and excuses, but I'm really glad that no one listens to you. You guys would have Lin playing 44 minutes a game and taking 70% of the shots on the team. As long as the team is winning, and they are, I'll be happy. They are exceeding expectations so there is no reason to complain.

I am going to engage you on this constructively cause I am curious. So lets say that there is some merit to your statement. McHale is taking Lin out & putting in an even more inexperienced player Beverly, or a player that is frankly not as good Tony. I do agree Lin is inconsistent but he is a lot more consistent than Beverly. So if your premise is correct why would McHale do this? Thoughts?

About what, McHale being Coach of the year? I think he will be coach of the year, and it will be much deserved. McHale has done a phenomenal job this year.

Pop will be again. His big three have been injured all year at different times and his team's record speaks for itself.

In recent game the 24 minutes per half, Mchale PG subbing seems to be 8 minutes Lin, 8 (TD or Bev), 8 minutes Lin, then repeat. You can check recent game log as really don't see much conspiracy going on here. He seem follow this pattern regardless how Lin/Bev/TD are playing.

Also let play match MPG below with the player above.
    Jeremy Lin
    Goran Dragic
    Chris Paul
    Tony Parker
    Darren Collison

    MPG
    32.9
    32.8
    32.7
    32.3
    31.1

I don't think our record will be good enough for him to get it. I think someone like VDN will get it, or Mike Woodson.

Darn good chance of that happening. And it would be well deserved. Can you imagine what a disaster this season would be if the head coach was old style?

Morey - "My man I know it is late, but I just tossed your whole preseason in the refuse pile by trading for Harden. You now have the youngest and least experienced roster in the NBA. Just view it as a challenge".

Sloan - Boom Goes the Dynamite. Sloan's head explodes.
JVG - "Morey you a@@hole, I am going to convert each and every one of those rookies into defensive stars. No one will ever get past James Harden".
Adeled-man - "You do what you want you ********** I ain't playing no damn rookies and second year kids".
Phil Jackson - "The Zen of the situation has changed. My world will not be balanced again until I get out Houston. Forever."

You could be right, but the Rockets have an easy schedule the last couple of months, so I think they can finish strong. I also think that McHale will get some votes because no one predicted the Rockets to make the playoffs. Even after acquiring Harden, most people felt that the youngest team in the league would struggle much more than they have. And I wouldn't give the award to Woodson, the knicks were expected to do well in the weak Eastern Conference, so they have done nothing all that special. I also think McHale may get a few extra votes because of the added difficulties of coaching the team in a season in which he's trying to overcome the loss of his daughter. If the Rockets finish strong, I expect him to get the award, but you never know.

Since the Rockets have had one of the harder schedules in the entire league, I wouldn't have been surprised if they were sitting at 17 wins right now before the season started. They have done a phenomenal job IMO and could potentially win 50 games this year because their schedule eases up. Now I don't think they'll actually win that many, but they'll almost certainly be in the mid to upper 40's in wins, and that's pretty damn good for what they are

Hmm no I don't see this happening at all. Voters aren't going to think that way. Your a Rockets fan so you are seeing things through red colored lenses.

His chances of getting it are slim to none unless the Rockets go on a tear. I really think they will give it to the Knicks coach or even to one of the typical top coaches of the top teams ie. Miami, OKC, Spurs

But I would love to be proven wrong.

A coach that never takes any responsibility will be coach of the year?

Too bad we don't have a super star (unless you count Harden), McHale would be out of the job already.

You may be right, or you may be wrong. And yes, I am looking at things from the point of view of a Rockets fan, because I am a Rockets fan. I was not a fan of McHale when we hired him, but I think he's done an amazing job, so he would get my vote. Other people are free to disagree, it's just my opinion.

If we didn't have a super star (Harden) McHale would still have a job, but the Rockets would be heading for a top 3 pick in the draft.
