Pathetic, Spoelstra is a terrible coach, he got lucky with the talent and now this?? Let's hope the West punishes them, I hate the East anyway with KG and them.

LOL y'all who are calling this "pathetic"...

He's the coach. Let him do what he wants.

This isn't about him or his team but a celebration of the game.

I doubt that there is any coach in the game as classless as he is tbh.

Who cares? All Star Appearances are discussed when evaluating a player historically, not starting appearances.

And for those that think BOsh is not a HOFer: are you dreaming? I don't particularly care for the guy but he has a very good case: He's a career 20/9 player with 8 All Star appearances, meaning he's been one of the ~5 best players at his position for 8 years. He's only 28 so it's fair to say that if he plays at a high level for 4 more years then he'll likely finish his career with 10 AS appearances and will probably have more than one ring. I am 99.99% certain that there are no players with that many AS appearances and even ONE ring that are not in the HoF.

I'm not really surprised. I'm not even really upset.

I do think it's stupid, though. Poor Kyrie.

    You guys are all nuts.

The West frontcourt is Howard, Griffin, Durant
The East was Anthony, James, Garnett

Who can blame Spo for wanting to put a bigger guy in the lineup? He's just thinking like a coach here.

Everyone gets plenty of burn in the game anyway, so change your diapers and get over it!

People can say it's fine, but truth is: he is a coach who has decided for himself to replace a PG / guard with a forward from his own team..that's just not right.

Why are you guys mad at him. If McHale was the coach and had the chance to replace someone with perhaps Asik, you guys would be all for it. Who cares who starts. He is trying to match the Western conference's starting lineup. The amount of hatred towards anyone affliated with the Heat on this forum is absurd. Stop complaining and enjoy this awesome weekend!

If his reasoning was defensive purposes, Chandler or Noah would've gotten the start...

Spo's ballot for All-Star Reserves probably included Mario Chalmers, Joel Anthony, Shane Battier, Udonis Haslem, etc
