That`s actually a real tough question. I went with Love for a few reasons:

    1. I am very comfortable with Asik at C - but not very comfortable with our PFs, so I decided to go with a PF.

    2. Youth - I´d prefer LA, but he`s been in the league a long tim and I´d love to have a PF, that can grow with this team

    3. Rebounds - with him and Asik we should grab the majority of the boards every game.

    4. Floor stretcher - outside of Nowitzki, there probably is no better 3pt shooting 4 (well, maybe Andersen). His offense really fits our style of playe.

I was worried about him for two reason - one is his health, he seems to be injured a lot. And the other is his defense. This team really needs to improve their defense, and that`s actually his biggest weakness.

I almost went with Bosh, since he does everything well (though nothing really exceptional). And I almost went with Howard, since he still is by far the best center in the league. And like I said, if you`d only look at this season, it`d probably be Aldridge.

Defensive rebounding is considered as defending. If you give away rebounds, you give away points. He does nothing in the post? Not sure about that. As much as i love LMA's game, for someone who operates in the low block/mid range, he can't average 9 rebounds a game considering he's not even playing alongside an elite rebounder.

And Josh Smith? I'm done with tweeners, i want a true big man. And for someone who plays like a Small Forward, he can't shoot jumpers even if his life depended on it. He's also averaging 50% at the free throw line. 50!

    Kevin Love Foshooo

Can we dump enough people in a trade to sign him + another star in the off season?

Is there a possibility that we could sign Howard and if it doesn't look like he is going to work out to then trade him for Love or Aldridge? I just was curious if anyone had thought of this as a scenario?

I was pretty torn between Kevin Love and Dwight Howard and would be ecstatic with acquiring either of them. The reason I decided to choose Dwight over Love is because I think Dwight will give us more on the defensive end which is what our team needs more. At the same time I have full confidence Dwight would put up nice numbers offensively in the pick and roll game with Harden and Lin. Think of all the times Harden/Lin make awesome passes to Asik that he squanders away with his stone hands. I love Asik but with Dwight manning the middle, those clever passes will be converted into rim-rattling slams more often than not. I hope the Rockets are able to sign Dwight Howard during this summer's free agency period and trade Asik for an upgrade at the PF spot.

Maybe the trade we make for an upgrade at PF could look something like this?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=ax85fz3

That would leave us with a lineup of:

    Lin/Douglas/Beverly
    Harden/Delfino
    Parsons/Delfino
    Love/Morris/Motiejunas
    Howard/Smith/Motiejunas/Aldrich

Check out the trade of all-star weekend experiences, a guy on here met Aldridge and it's official, he really wants to come here!

I think we should do a small trade for Gortat and keep the young core together to grow.

I voted for Cousins, with his head screwed on he does pretty much all you can ask of a big man and is a great passer as well.

It's unfortunate that a Cousins with his head screwed on may not exist though.

Love or LMA. Love is the best player on that list, all things considered. Since we have Asik, I think big chunk of the money should be spent on quality PF focusing on offense.

Love does everything well and he's young, but I am a little bit worried about chemistry. I always loved LMA or Roy from Blazers, because not only are they terrific players, but also classy individuals. I think LMA really meshes well with our current team in characters.

That being said, either player will upgrade our team overnight, big time.

    Get it done, Morey!

want a big man that can build chemistry with the current roaster.

There is really no point getting the 5 best players in the league and they cannot play with each other.

Love is overrated on this board with his inconsistent shooting and horrible defense. Rockets need some damn athletic players for once enough injury prone low vertical players living off the 3 ball
