He's a good role-player for them, he hustles for loose balls all the time, plays great D, sets screens, shoots the three ball and understands his role.

OK, I can accept 'role player'. Was having some difficulty with 'great player'.

    See 2012 NBA Finals

He benefited from Miami thinking Lin's still a good player (the game before he had 28pts8a) so they chose to trap Lin instead. If we were to play Miami they'd just let Lin shoot the 3 and trap Harden and shut him down again.

So, you're saying if the focus on shutting down Harden, then they won't be able to stop Lin?

Each time Lin has played the Heat they double him like crazy. It's like they have a specific game plan just for him.

If they ignored Lin, he would explode on them.

How come we don't see more explosions from Lin then?

    No... they did not.

In the last two meetings (both close games), they did not successfully "shut down" James Harden. They failed to trap Harden several times in the last game, in fact Harden broke away from their double team (which included Lebron) before they had a chance to trap.

The only time they actually successfully trapped Harden was when he was forced to take a desperation 3, where he was blocked.

Otherwise, no their trapping strategy did not work against Harden last game.

Eh, perhaps "explode" isn't the right word, but either way, his games against the Heat when compared with other teams is night and day.

Our scheme is harder for the Heat to slow down. We've historically put up great numbers against the Heat since the big 3 came together.

The Rockets are a ball movement team. Teh Heat shut down any ISO team.

I think a Spurs - Heat series would be amazingly interesting if the Spurs were healthy.

LOL no. He would be scared ****less, pass the ball to Harden, and Harden will roam over 3 defenders and either score/turn over.
