cool article on the homepage of NBA.com

    http://www.nba.com/2013/news/02/14/all-houston-team-all-star-2013/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt3c

ill only post the first team because the article is pretty long:

Thorpe, Horry, Moses, Tmac, and Slater Martin are on the 2nd team

Yao and Don Chaney are the reserves.

What do y'all think about the list? Anyone who was snubbed?
Personally I feel Sampson and Mad Max should be included somewhere.

Just read the description on NBA.com, apparently this is a list of all time greatest houston players. In other words they were either from Houston or played on the rockets.

Still a ton of snubbs though

Come on guys, read the thing (even though Fran Blinebury wrote it). It's not an all-time Houston Rockets list. It's an "All Houston" team :

To select our 12-man All-Houston All-Star roster required much evaluation and selective editing. First, there had to be a level of success and excellence at the NBA level. Ties to the Rockets were not necessary, but a simple pass through didn't make for an automatic qualifier for stars who did the bulk of their work elsewhere. (Sorry, Rick Barry, Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen.) There were some personal favorites -- hello, John Lucas, Sam Cassell, Ralph Sampson -- who shone like comets, too briefly, to make the cut. College counted, but only so far. One guy never played in college or the NBA in Houston but made Houston his home, so he simply could not be left out.

So with apologies to the above -- along with Mario Elie, Otis Birdsong, Dwight Jones, Ricky Pierce, Mike Newlin and Ollie Taylor, among others -- this is our All-Houston team, and we're sticking to it:

    Oversight or agenda?

How is the franchise not on there and Tmac is. Doesn't make sense even a little bit.

Well, he did play most of his career on some bad rocket teams. And then traded him at his peak.

Glad Francis is not on this.

That name just brings up a shotclock buzzer in my head. It is highly annoying.
