Actually, such little interest might have a positive effect. The powers that be might see that they do not have such a powerful audience hold -- and dwindling fan interest -- with which to bludgeon Dish, Directv, etc. This, in turn, could finally force them to come to terms. At this point, I have to look for any little ray of hope.

The IwantCSN commercial isn't helping at all.. What is its purpose??? If nothing has been done yet, why inform us with a commercial having random people on the streets of Houston telling us they wan CSN on their cable networks??? We've been trying to do that already???

 

Yeah, I don't know why this is taking long time. I know they are greedy, but come on, don't do that to our Houston fans. They need to improve their negotiation. I feel like they can wait until they feel too much pressure that would go ahead and reach the deal.

 

No kidding on the I want CSN commercial. Maybe if they would quit paying to air that commercial on other media outlets then they could actually accept a reasonable deal from DTV, Dish, etc.... $3.40 per prescriber is absolutely ridiculous.

I would hope that the NBA would have more say so and control in these matters. It's bad for the association. The brand is being tarnished.

 

If you are attending the All-Star game, it would be a great opportunity to shame the powers that be with posters complaining about the TV deal...splattered all over TVs nationwide.

I had a similar thought watching the Lakers/Clippers game tonight. When they said they were going to Houston for the half time report, it suddenly hit me that we "pi$$ed off unable-to-view-the-Rockets" fans blew a golden oppertunity to bring national attention to our plight by not picketing All Star Weekend!

 

I'll fade you for a $10 tip jar bet if you want. So I propose that it will have to be an official press release...no "understanding" that's reported in the newspapers. And how many major providers have to sign on (out of DirecTV, ATT, and Dish) by 10/01/13?
