This is very deceptive. Hollins was walking BACKWARDS, not forwards, and he was stumbling. Totally unintentional.

    Clippers are floppers and kickers...

    Basketball gods will punish them.

The only injury affect Lin's game yesterday is the one on his wrist. He hurt it after a layup. There's a slow motion of reply in the end of the kicking video.

Other fouls are just icing on the cake.

Agree, but you don't kick another player, which he did for sure intentionally and not by accident, just because you are frustrated. He should have been ejected and fined. What surprised me is that another Rocket player didn't confront Hollins and yell at him to "cover" Lin's back. They certainly would have done so if Lin was playing in Knicks.

I was more disappointed that a Rocket player didn't get into Hollins' face and confront him. Very disappointed.

    Nah, they certainly didn't.
Did you forget the hard foul kidd took on Lin? No one but the coach stood up for Lin. That one hurt much one than the kick.

Watch the video, I don't think the other players on the court saw what happened. I think one other player may have seen it, but you can't tell for sure. It looks like you are trying to start trouble, and are trying to imply that other Rocket players don't have Lin's back, which is just silly.

Back with the Knicks, at least he had Jared Jeffries. Jeffries would've chased him down or be in the dude's face at least. But Lin needs to be more defensive for himself.

I read on another site that Hollins went up to Lin after the game, maybe to apologize and then they hugged. Maybe someone at the game can confirm this.

I say the league should suspend him for 100 games!

Yea I notice that a lot also. I remember when Yao was playing, he would often get hammered in the paint and opponents would foul the heck out of him, claw him, and scratch him as well as taking cheap shots at Yao and the officials tend to ignore it.

But with Lin, he does get foul much harder than other players. I'm not trying to be biased or anything but too often Lin does get foul hard when he's driving to the basket and rarely get a whistle. I remember a game where Lin was just hammered and the officials didn't blow a whistle until they saw him grabbing his head in pain so they finally blew a late LATE whistle.

To me, if its a foul, then its a foul. It shouldn't be where the officials will only blow the whistle only if they really have to. But it shouldn't lead to that point.

Overall, that was a dirty play by Hollins and it wasn't like he was trying to kick the ball or anything. Plus, that doesn't make any sense in why would he kick the ball at that moment. Lin was falling straight down in front of him and he kick his foot out almost connecting Lin's face. You shouldn't do that to anyone, especially when they're falling down..

doesn't matter. lin got beaten up badly last night. i am not sure how much impact those kick, step on, and fall on ground have on his performance. it is his right hand got stepped on by at least 200 lbs center. must be very hurt.

You just cannot tell, player has a lot better body control than ordinary guy.

Checkout the SI.com piece on Hollins down blew, he has a track record of "cheap shoots".

Lin gets beat up so much, I swear. And half the time the refs don't give him the foul call.

Yea... not to be overly pessimistic (though that's my natural disposition) but either Lin gets seriously injured or he changes his game to stop taking contact/becomes hesitant.

He's not a superstar, so he doesn't get superstar fouls.

Which of course is utter stupidity. I think Lin might get foul the hardest every single game. Other than Iverson, I have never seen a player who would disregard his body like Lin. I thought he separated his shoulder yesterday on one layup.

Also that dragon kick that he does when he goes for a layup is costing him. If a player flies into his extended leg, it easily puts him into a spin. And then he can't control his landing.

I predict Lin will have a short nba career base on the path he is going. He didn't attempt one 2 pointer yesterday I think.
