there is that Kelvin Sampson - Gordon connection, but ...i refuse to believe that Morey would be foolish enough to go after a shooting guard who's making max money and that has never played anywhere close to a full season of NBA basketball.

While hardens not as big he's about as close to lebrons game as ur gonna find in the NBA right now. I'm not saying that ua want Gordon although I like his game alot. I actually believe it would wrk wade is the Same size as EG and harden is big strong enough to eventually be able to hold the sf position down defensively. We would be a poor mans Miami in the west it would be interesting to see how that lineup would wrk together.

New Orleans Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon missed Wednesday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after spraining his right hand during the team's morning shootaround at the New Orleans Arena, team officials confirmed. The Hornets did not announce Gordon would sit out until 35 minutes before tipoff. He was not available for comment and was not on the bench with the team during the game. Gordon also was not seen in the locker room afterward. New Orleans Times-Picayune

Could it already been a trade in principle w/ Rockets but wanted to see Motiejunas and others play...and I also did not know that if Harden miss All-Star game that he have to miss the next game....it feels super strange...to bad we can' move Anderson or Beverley until April 2nd and 7th respectfully

if we trade D-Mo for Gordon i'd go postal. In a world with the new lux tax rules Gordon on his contract should not fetch you potential young allstar talent.

I would think that New Orleans would look to move Gordon to improve the SF spot. They have young talent everywhere else. What could the Rockets have that could interest them? It has to be for salary cap relief if in fact there is a trade between the two and not a 3-way.

Now that I think about it, that is pretty fishy. But it would have already been anounced probably.

Our 14th picks can be turned to 1 pick with some stern adjustments.

Short, overpaid, injury prone. Why are we interested?

my guess is that they wouldn't trade parsons, but move him to PF in a small ball lineup of lin, ego, beard, parsons, asik.

another guess is that the rockets would be shopping players who's contracts DONT expire next summer, while gordon's does. this would be a talent upgrade for this season, and allow for more cap room this summer. that would be a win win.

It depends on who we move...if we add Gordon to Rockets (2013-2014)

    Gordon $14,283,844
    Harden $13,668,750
    Lin $5,225,000
    Asik $5,225,000
    Morris $2,096,760
    White $1,719,480
    Parsons $926,500
    Smith $884,293
    Anderson $???
    Beverley $???

    Total: $44,029,627

$58,000,000-$44,029,627 = $13,970,373 in Salary Cap cause $5,724,622 of Scola's 2013-14 contract will not touch our Cap or Luxury Tax according to Wiki to Amnesty Rule....but w/ all this said who knows what Morey is thinking???

I'm not sure I understand your post?

Gordon is in the first year of a 4 year max deal. Sooo his contract doesn't expire...

We could conceivably get him and have max cap room still this summer, we'd need to trade Lin, Patterson, Morris and one of White/Jones or Motie. Then we might still need to decline options on Delfino, Parsons and Smith.

8.3 mil ea for both Lin and Asik, so subtract another 6 mil to that available cap. If the team's getting Gordon, Lin is gone, Parson probably. They probably might try hard to get Dwight in the offseason, which mean Asik is gone too.

It's Chris Broussard, which means he might be throwing craps on the fan to see what stick.
