I'm not praising this man but I damn sure am not condemning this man either. there are some parts of this story missing and left out. I sincerely think he has a story to tell but can't voice it. The LAPD has been known over the years to mishandle internal happenings. We have been bombarded by fake/false news stories/reports on a guy that they we're clearly trying to kill before he can get due process and tell his side of the story about police corruption. So far the only substantial evidence we know of is that the police been shooting innocent people. Thats the most substance evidence we've ACTUALLY seen with REAL WITNESSES to attest to this. Based on everything I've seen, there's more evidence pointing to the police and media being guilty of corruption and destruction than this Chris Dorner guy. And If he did kill innocent people then he needs to be brought before trial, where all the evidence can be laid out with ACTUAL WITNESSES and TESTIMONY. Anyone with a critical thinking mind can tell this ***** reaks of BS and we need to continue to gather evidence before we call this guy a cold blooded murderer of innocent people. KNOWONE saw *****. All we know is that some people got killed and their blaming this guy.
Seriously people think like this? Your hatred for the police is limiting your ability to think critically about this. The man murdered policemen, and the daughter of a policeman (as well as her fiance), then called the policeman to goad. He was shooting at policemen during the standoff in which he was burned dead. yet you give him the benefit of the doubt here?
Police in this society are reaping what they sow, especially in Southern California. The blatant disrespect coupled with abuse of power, racism and coverups have festered what you see now. Blame the victims all you want but their reputation is damaged. You seem to attack Dems a lot on here for that same reason. There are some Dems that are great congressmen and senators yet you highlight the the wrong SOME are doing. Not all Cops are bad and not all Democrats are bad either right? No one here is defending Dorner but frustration is at a boiling point and in this case Police got burned by one of their own.
The evidence is clear...he murdered two innocent civilians, then confirmed that he did so in his Facebook manifesto. Anyone defending Dorner (and yes, people ARE doing so in this very thread) has, in my opinion, questionable moral judgment. Do I think the LAPD needs to be turned upside down to get rid of corruption? Yes. Does this make Dorner's response of killing a father of two, another LAPD officer, a young woman on the rise with her career and her completely innocent fiancé justifiable? NO! Lets stop acting like there was anything admirable about this. He raised legitimate complaints. He also committed some morally disgusting actions. **** this guy.
For realz. I bet the LAPD hacked his Facebook page and falsely had him admit to killing innocent people. This is the same group that had the power to frame OJ after all. This stinks and this conspiracy goes all the way to the top. I'm pointing my finger at you Obama!
While I appreciate the rep from whoever just did so, correcting me on the evidence seems misguided. To whoever told me to "read" and realize the manifesto was written before the murders, perhaps you can explain this quote from him in the opening paragraph?
I'm not going to leave my opinion here because I don't know enough. The guy was a murderer. That much I know, but when it comes to the LAPD why did they shoot that woman in the truck? That is absolutely inexcusable and I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that that isn't enough of a story or something for us to gasp at.
it's not benefit of the doubt, it's how law is done in this country. first a grand jury then a petit jury. innocent until proven guilty, you know. i think we learned all of this in elementary school.
It's ridiculous to ignore probability of a crime. Just because the person isn't alive to stand trial doesn't mean we should treat him or remember him as innocent. He did it, he told us he did it, we have 7995368 witnesses saying he did it. Innocent until proven guilty is an admirable and good principle for the justice system, lets just not use it to make us blind to the obvious.
Like it or not the 6th Amendment (Confrontation) says otherwise. Chris Dorner will forever be the accused but not convicted.
The Bill of Rights are a set of protections for the personagainst the govenment. He may not get convicted, but that shouldn't stop us from making the reasonable assumption of guilt in our own conversations. It's only government that has to tiptoe around it. ktbball wants to say Dorner is actually innocent and has been framed by the LAPD. If anyone needs the protections of due process, it's the LAPD (who are getting bombarded with unsubstantiated accusations of corruption and murder), not Dorner (who can't enjoy his civil liberties because he's dead).
How about this question, Did OJ do it? Fact is Oswald was never convicted of shooting Kennedy, that's a true statement. Who gives a sheit what you think. One thing I know for sure, not you or anyone else including any history book can ever claim he was proven guilty and convicted without lying. That's all I'm saying now and have ever said. You and the rest took it the wrong way and got all butthurt in the process.
It's more the fact that I'm fairly certain you don't fanatically hold to your "He's not convicted, so we can't say he did it" standard in everyday life, and if you are, you're nuts. Bin Laden was never taken to court, does that mean we don't know for a certainty who blew up the WTC? Same with my earlier Oswald example. Just because Oswald never had the chance to be convicted doesn't mean that any rational person can't know who shot JFK. No one was saying with Loughner or Breivik when they were arrested "Hey we don't REALLY know that he did this, let's wait until he's put on trial." Just this guy. I can't fathom why the ITGs would act differently. Oh wait. I do.

^^^^sorry postin from phone and hit submit early. Not necessarily agreeing but food for thought. Honestly, the thing i've been most astonished by is how hated the lapd is. Despite dorner's methods, he got tons of support, justified or otherwise. That alone says a lot about the lapd. Imo.
