Are you kidding me? That's Ashton Kutcher they're getting with Horford.

Me, I'd only trade Parsons in a deal that yielded a Dwight Howard (not that I'm entirely sold on the guy's health, but he's the sort of risk you take if he says he'll re-sign with the team).

We can claim that Parsons can be fairly easily replaced but he's becoming quite a player and he wants to be here, so....

Would I want Josh Smith over Howard? May I quote Bernie Mac? "S******." If DH12 says to Harden or Morey, "See me, love me, here I am," well, take him.

If Howard continues his mumble-mouthed, half-hearted "well, I don't know"'s we say, "See ya," then make a move for J-Smoove and run out a lineup of:

    Lin
    Da Beard
    Parsons
    Smoove
    Asik

If that's the route the Rockets are taking (which i highly doubt), i'd rather go for a much cheaper Paul Millsap than Jo$h $mith.

Well, you're in luck, because Doc insinuated that Parsons would only be dealt for Howard on Twitter.

The last couple of post by Codman and DocRocket has made me fairly optimistic that some big trade will happen by the trade deadline. I believe codman said "I don't want to say too much until it's almost certain, but I'm feeling good for us as fans." Surely, Codman and Docrocket will deliver.;)

Ill ask again. Do we not have the money to just sign him? If he wants the extra years, the Lakers will just sign and trade him to us for crappy picks instead of getting nothing. Why in every scenario is everyone trading starters for Dwight in a sign and trade?

If it's crappy picks you're offering to LA then they'll almost certainly just S&T him to a team such as Brooklyn for Brook Lopez + better picks.

I still don't think there's a way. I mean he might be involved somehow, but he just really is not a good fit for us at all both positional and contract wise.

And I mean Doc essentially said yesterday it was Dwight or J Smoove

Maybe we're just going with the NBA trend right now....Miami's beasting with no big guys. OKC has pretty useless bigs as well.

Well first of all, both teams have SF that are either as long and as powerful as any big in the league. Lebron and Durant also happen to be 1a and 1b in the league, you can get away with more when you have a guy that can get 30 8 and 7. Also Ibaka and Bosh are top 10 at their position, so I am not sure about useless bigs. You can't trend with a crappy 5 if you don't have that kind of talent filling out your front court.

Actually, Dwight Howard is endorsed by ADIDAS. I don't see anything significant.

IT SAYS "ALL IN FOR ALL-STAR" lol. Stop trolling.

Adidas is just as much involved as the actual franchise. Big companies have an effect on the way things go down. Adidas wants Dwight here so they can expand his merchandise [being next to Lin]

It's not a matter of "if". It's a matter of "when" our next huge superstar hits H-Town. Sometime between now and 2014 trade deadline I suspect. Just be patient. It's gonna happen.

Not if he wants to come to Houston and not to Brooklyn. Brooklyn has no space. We can just straight up sign him. So LA will lose him for nothing. They will be in no place to negotiate just as Clevland and Toronto weren't. They got picks for Bron and Bosh instead of just losing them for nothing. CP3 and Melo were under contract when they were traded so that's not the same. I still dont remember any sign and trade happening with other players involved.
