i eventually want him to take marcus morris' minutes. he is taller/longer and more versatile but also still has 3-point range.
If he and Asik are on the floor together then while D-Mo is down low, Asik is going to have to step out in order to create space for him to operate. This reduces Asik's prime value (being a rebounder) i think D-Mo, if we are throwing him the ball down low as the primary post option, shouldn't play alongside Asik. if he's playing in a lineup with Asik then he is gonna have to operate in the midrange while Asik occupies the inside
more dmo. less cole aldrich. its a travesty that mchale wastes valuable minutes for dmo by playing cole aldrich.
I hope this isn't a controversial statement, but I love the fact McHale is his coach. DMo is going to school on those moves. For those who want him fired, image for a second McHale is not our head coach. If Dmo was to get big man training from a freelance consultant, my first thought would be McHale. Best collection of moves that I'd like to see DMo emulate. And a great mentor.
Think Montiejunas earned a spot in the PF rotation tonight ahead of Morris. I have no idea why Morris is playing. He shouldn't be.
D-Mo is already the top center in the NBA in my opinion. He has a chance to be the best center of All-time. He has the post moves of Hakeem with the shooting touch of Bird and the speed of Dirk. In time, he'll have the defense of Hakeem and Mutombo. Right now, he's probably equal to that of Yao in his prime. I can't wait to order my D-Mo jersey.
It's dmo's time. Morris needs to have some dnpcd's in his future. Forget upside, dmo already brings more to the game. All around better player than Morris. He needs to be the primary big off the bench and eventually supplant Patterson as starter. Enough of this charade already.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble but D-Mo had those moves, he's learning nothing from McHale so far when he's not getting playing time. Even a dumb person can see D-Mo has more upside, more talent and can help you win games over Aldrich and Morris. How can a coach be so stubborn that he refuses to use 13 players when others are not performing??
He isnt a PF...he should be off the bench for Parsons... Should be: Omer, DMo Harden, Delfino Lin, Beverly/Douglas Parsons, MMorris PPat, Greg Smith/James Anderson
have the Rockets not earned our trust when it comes to bringing players along? As Gerson Rosas said, it's a process. We see D'Mo perform well and don't consider everything that led up to it that we didn't see behind the scenes.
Dawson, Hakeem Not saying that McHale wouldn't be good. But he ain't the only one. BTW, Yao developed his post moves pretty well under JVG. I believe DMo's offense will eventually mature and be very prolific. Whether he can be an effective defender remains to be seen.
we're probably just playing cole adrich some more to showcase him before we trade him at the trade deadline. also, d-mo isn't as strong as aldrich right now so if we need some low post defense, aldrich is way stronger right now and can man the post better.
No one can see into the black box. He coulda been crap then developed. He coulda been great and just wasted on the pine. What matters is that the kid finally got to play long enough to do something.
