Its more important for the league that harden participate on all star festivities than playing tonight. He will sit

Probably has been mentioned, but spears tweeted this right after the game. Wayyy too early IMO, especially when he said it with certainty. He still may not play, but Spears should have left the possibility open.

hmmm since nobody is willing to mention it i will.

I guess its ok to miss regular season games when we are battling for the playoffs so a player can make an allstar game?

I understand the game is in houston and harden is our only representative, but come on lets get our priorities back in order.

If harden came back last night and played he can play tonight. Take it easy just take js and let Lin, Parsons, or anybody else carry the offensive load. Make sure they know firsthand before the game.

This is how a true franchise player would act. They dont miss regular season games while trying to make the playoffs so you can make an allstar game. Real franchise players play through injuries then put their work in the all star game.

    Lets stay on point people.

^^The point is to not risk injury to our superstar.

The All Star break is more the point than the actual All Star game.

I'm trying to avoid lof dust ups but you guys couldn't be more ridiculous. Just be happy Lin is playing well. Some of you can't wait for harden to miss a game and some will question his priorities. This team is incredibly fun when hitting all cylinders. What is the problem?

Blah blah. Harden showed the kind of player he is last night.

He's young, motivated, a character guy, talented, has guts, and soft spoken on the court. Houston doesn't need any other type of franchise player, new guy.

Lets reverse the role and have Harden as spot up shooter just for today. :))
I hope Harden plays we need him....even though we'll most likely lose. :(
Just go easy on the drives, Harden. CP3 won't be playing nice JLin better bring his A game.
JLin going to need help on D for sure on this game.

Go look up how much a ticket to the Clippers game costs as opposed to a ticket to the All-Star.

That should tell you the priority level.

I actually think playing in the all star game as a recruiting mechanism is kind of important...

This is hard to do when you are a basketball player that actually wants to win. Harden is the type of guy that, if playing, will take it to the rack. That is his game. Last thing we need is for him to have a more serious injury.

This is like a long break for him. The All Star game is like a pick up game but with nobody defending you. It is all offense, slam dunk-a-thon, 3 point shots in a game setting. Nobody will be guarding anyone.

This couldn't be further from the truth.

When you roll an ankle like that, you can often finish the game. But, after, it swells up and stiffens to a point where it's extremely difficult to even walk the next day (or two or three, depending on the severity of the injury).

I finished many games as a youngster after rolling/turning an ankle only to barely be able to walk later or over the next couple of days.

I totally agree. Playoff is more important than all star game.

No, not exactly (see my previous post).

When it happened, the first thought I had was "There goes the Clipper game" - yet, I was hopeful he'd return to finish the game last night.

Of course it all depends on his knee and ankle, safety first! No risk!
