I disagree. There are some teams Asik wouldn't be perfect for, but (1) he'd be an equally competent rebounder anywhere, and (2) even for the slower paced teams, there is always an opportunity for a supreme garbage man. What makes the comment more absurd is that the Warriors are one of those teams in particular I think he'd be a great fit on. Not that a fully healthy at his peak Bogut isn't better, but Bogut hasn't been that for a while. If I'm a Warriors fan I'd trade Bogut for Asik any day. Asik doesn't "require" low post touches, and would clean up a ton - long rebounds off their threes, missed David Lee post-ups, etc.
Did you see the difference in the Knicks game? Tons of screens for Lin. McHale likes to throw Lin a bone when we play his former team or something. Not so much this game, though. We won this one on dunks dunks and dunks.
...and then Asik puts the ball on the floor at the top of the key and drives by David Lee for a basket and you realize that maybe there is more to this mans game than just being the beneficiary of a lot of good looks courtesy of Harden, Lin and Parsons.
I never get why people get butt hurt about these QFTOS threads. How is anyone rubbing anything in their faces?? Jocar was making these during the loses too. On top of that, f**k any team who trolls our board and finds these threads to be upset over. If I go snooping into my neighbors windows, there's always a chance I'm going to see something I didn't want to see. Like people saying this shouldn't be posted until after the game. Big deal. Stop looking at it subjectively like most people do and all you'll see is interesting point of views from the opponents side before, during and after.
Warriors fans are cool, I go to every game when Houston comes to town and nobody really says anything to me, while cheering in my rockets gear
No matter how pretty you make them, stone hands are still stone hands Of course, there is always the hand transplant option...
