Ok maybe a third team is involved who likes/needs Lin, that's not the point. My point is Asik and Lin come out to about 17 million in tradeable salary. That my friend is enough for another max player. As to why on J. Smith? He helps bring Howard here. They are buds and in today's NBA players want to play with their buds. Add that to the fact we need to upgrade the 4 (he is a 4), and he's attainable (FA this offseaon and Atl rumored to be open to a trade). it makes all the sense in the world.

Well if that's your barometer for making trades and assembling a team we should all just give-up because that is a duo not easily matched. A healthy Howard and still maturing Harden is a VERY formidable 1-2 punch.

Id say a healthy Harden and Howard is as good as james and wade...and has a better outlook for the future....wade is deteriorating

Its a better mix having a 3pt shooting high assist guard and PNR running big man that excels in defense ....then two wings with the exact same skill set.
