Hell, I'll say it, he's over hyped. Now don't get me wrong, he is one hell of a prospect, with elite physical tools. Supreme Athlete. But in terms of skill level, he's a notch below guys like Lebron or Durant at the same stage of their career.
Andrew Wiggins JUMPSHOT is not consistent what so ever... I take Justise Winslow over Andrew Wiggins who is a year younger than him...
Andrew Wiggins better average 20ppg a game in college... There is a BIG difference between HS and Division One College... If he goes to Florida St and carries that team in college and averages 20+ and 8+ rbs he has my props...He is a not sure thing to go number one in 2014 when ALOT of big time prospects will eneter that draft... Wiggins Scores 57 In Response To Article Questioning Effort, Intensity Feb 08, 2013 1:31 PM EST Andrew Wiggins scored 57 points on 24-of-28 shooting, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in Huntington Prep's 111-59 win over Marietta College JV on Thursday night. Earlier Thursday, Wiggins caught wind of a Sports Illustrated article that portrayed him as a player who doesn't go full-tilt against lesser competition. "I just had to respond to the negative outlook that the reporter gave me," Wiggins said. "I thought I responded well. Negative media happens to everybody. You just have to work through it and respond." Just hours earlier, Wiggins was named one of three finalists for the Naismith Player of the Year Award, given annually to the nation's top high school basketball player The other Naismith Award candidates are Simeon's Jabari Parker and Aaron Gordon of Archbishop Mitty. "All three are great players and I think Andrew separates himself from the other two in that he can dominate games in ways on both ends of the court," Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford said. Wait, is this video supposed to be a highlight? I guess he showed impressive skills and great 3 point shooting. But boy, he sure is selfish.
His own coach called him out on going through the motions in games that Wiggins feel are no real competition. Do you guys see that as a bad sign or a sign of a guy just way too good for the competition and as long as he comes to play against good competition he will live up to the hype since in the NBA and college he will have to bust his hump?
He's also just a kid. James Harden was criticized for having no motor when he was in College even. Wiggins has plenty of time to change his habits.
Andrew Wiggins needs to have a killer instinct and attack against inferior defense in HS His numbers can be better.
