Damn i wish we would've beaten the kings...that would've made this game easier to deal without James. Look i don't want him getting hurt just like the rest of you but lin sprained his ankle a couple times this season and still played and played quite well actually. Now i don't know to what extent harden's ankle is hurt but if it's similar to what lin experienced, then i actually wanna see him play because i wanna at least try to beat the clips. The knee just further complicates matters but James is smart and i don't see him playing if he feels physically unable to perform at a high level

It's good that Harden gets a long break. He can use this to play just token minutes in the All-star game, so that he can be at relatively healthy status for our stretch run. Besides, he can recruit better on the bench than in the game itself. :)

I understand what u r trying to say,and agree to the extent, but since acquiring harden, rockets first & foremost goal is going to the playoffs. So we should try to win as much as possible. We shouldnt lose our sight on that:)

It's not that easy. There was likely no "decision" to be made.

Most of the time when you roll or twist your ankle like that, you can often tough it out and finish the game.

It's much, much more difficult to play the next night (or during the next few days, depending on how bad it was rolled/twisted).

I've rolled my ankles like that many times as a youngster and it's often worse over the next few days (again, depending on how bad it is).

When it happened, I immediately thought "There goes the Clipper game tomorrow" (but had some hope he'd return to the game).

It's unlikely, but maybe they overlook us if Harden doesn't play - they're playing the Lakers Thursday on TNT.

Maybe we get lucky and they're too focused on the nationally televised "rivalry" game... (at least we can hope).

Just don't put Lin on Jamal Crawford.

He's a warrior but we need him, can't afford to lose him to injury now.

Inb4 CP3 steps on Asik's foot and Stern sends Lin to the ASG.

I'm not so sure about beating the GSW without Harden. Even though Harden was not shooting well, he made an impact in other ways - drawing fouls. In fact Harden, Lin & Asik were the main reason more than half the GSW's starters (Curry, Lee & Bogut) were in foul trouble as early as in the 3rd Q. That had a great impact on the game.

Do not agree. McHale handled it perfectly.

This is something Dwight can learn, crap...... he's not here yet. I truly believe if Harden does not play Clippers game, I really doubt he will play, but will participate in the All-Star game.

    Ankle injuries vary in severity....
Not to mention why the hell would he risk his season just to play one meaningless game in a span of 82?

It's funny but this is actually true. A strong performance in the AS game could leave an impression on potential free agents.

    Rest the starters.

Call up Terrence and Royce White. Let them play 40 minutes.

    D-Mo too.
