It is a pretty confident estimation. GSW's defense has been awful for like the last few games. They can't stay in front of anybody. GSW isn't a good team they are kind of overrated they are most definitely not a contender. In the beginning when they were on there hot streak it was because they were playing weak offensive teams. They are playing a lot of better teams now. Houston is so much better than them it isn't even funny.
I'm happy Harden is getting rest, even though it'd be nice to see him go off against the Clippers. But this is a good thing, more rest for Harden before rest of the season kicks off. Curious to see how Lin will handle himself against the Clips, if they play him like Miami does every time it could be trouble. Especially against Chris Paul.
Harsh - I still think they are a good team. Major problem with them is how Bogut actually destroys their defense. He's still a step slow understandably, but that in and of itself manages to wreak havoc on their defense.
I prefer playing Harden against more winnable competition. Even teams that you are better than can beat you i.e Kings.
Agree on Bogut. Amazing that no one is pointing out that their losing streak started when he came back.
We were in the middle of the 3rd quarter when Harden left the game and we were only up 4 points at that point (as many as 6 before Harden returned). Harden has a huge impact on the court just by standing around because defenses are never allowed to slack off of him. He also commands double teams which gave our players wide open shots and slashes to the basket. It's a huge assumption to make that we would have won without Harden. It's a possibility for sure, but certainty? Very very doubtful.
You don't get to pick which game to win. We have to take one game a time. Part of the reason we lost to kings may be that we overlooked them and more looked forward to today's game. It's a problem for all the young team.
Man I hope Harden doesn't play tomorrow. And if we're getting blown out by the 3rd then I hope they rest the starter's and let the rooks play. Tomorrow's a schedule loss anyways so let's get a nice long rest for our starters and make a push for the 6th seed after the break.
They are a good team but they aren't contenders. Spurs, LAC, OKC will wax them. Bogut knows whats up. SherwoodStrauss: Bogut: "Right now, our defense is ****" SherwoodStrauss: Bogut: "Our defense 1-on-1 is horrendous...we get beat and it's like, 'Oh, help, someone help me.'"
we got a perfect situation after hardens injury..harden was forced not to force but to shoot or drive only when necessary and look to pass instead....:grin:
I'm happy Harden's out because it reduces the pressure of the game. Will be more enjoyable to watch with lowered expectations.
