Y'all are crazy. He definitely could still play 10-15 mins a game. Sure, he might not make it 82 games, and he would be awful on defense, but you are fooling yourself if you don't think mike could drop a few points on some of these current players.

Everyone seems to think he is fat, sitting on his ass, smoking cigarettes... So a better question might be: If he trained for one offseason could he do it?

    No doubt.

He could play 15mins on a stacked team. Not a team like when he came back for the Wiz or the current bobcats. Those Wizards would have made the playoffs if Jordan didn't get injured late in the season.

He might get away with it, but he'd be/look awful. I remember watching him as a Wizard and that was bad enough. Now we're adding a full decade on top of it? Come on.

There's literally no way he could try and stay in front of a wing player today - they would dust him every time. I'm sure he can still shoot, but he's not getting around anyone and will probably have a hard time getting separation. He's not elevating over anyone either.

This is a game where you can't lose a step and stick around, not unless you're a big with serious post skills. NBA is lightning quick.

Now, would I pay to see him play in a "legends" game against the likes of Iverson and Rodman (guys that didn't get fat like Barkley and Magic)? Heck yes.

Uh, he's 50 years old and was reportedly about 40 lbs overweight. Of course not.

No. Just no. He's 50 years old and living the good life eating well, drinking, smoking and relaxing like a retired legend is supposed to.

I'd bet Drexler or Reggie Miller would fair better. At least they still take care of their bodies.

Maybe Roger Clemens style. Every 5th day and doesn't travel with the team.

He would be the most fashionable person on the team though.

Who on earth claims he can be a 35+ min player?! Even if his skill levels was good enough that he should be playing that, these dudes body would give out after one game.

I don't think he could last more than 10 minutes in a real NBA game. Do you know how physically demanding that is for a 50-year old overweight dude? I don't care how skilled he is.

Definitely his game is still with him, the problem is his body. He smokes a lot, I've seen him on TV. That messes up your lungs and cardio, BAD. So today if he stops smoking and gets back into shape, lose all those 40 pounds, he would be a role player - like 6th man type.

No he wouldn't. I don't care how great MJ was or if he was the greatest player of all time. He's 50 years old. If more players could be a role player or 6th man type at even age 40 there would be. When you add in Jordan's love for the partying, drinking, smoking etc. it's game over.

Take a look at Grant Hill and Steve Nash... these are probably 2 guys that are better than anybody in the league in terms of taking care of their bodies, eating healthy and staying away from drinking. It's great to see them make it this long but with that said they've both barely played this season and missed a lot of time due to seemingly minor injuries.

There's a reason why most guys in the league are usually washed up soon after 30. This is a young mans game. Rembemer that.

Does it still count if he drops dead of a heart attack on the court?

Not if he's not in shape and by in shape I mean he'd have to be in the best shape you can be as a 50 year old.

Not surprised. Skills and bulk win 1-on-1. You don't have to run up and down the court. You don't have to fight for position. You don't even have to jump much. Jordan could just post up and back down MKG every time.

He could not play today. He couldn't really play his last couple of years in the league. Add the time and lack of playing since then, and there's no way he could play today.
