Honestly no I would rather have harden a d Lowry rather than harden and tony Allen. The case is yes Allen does display more defensive talent however harden being an attack the basket first sg present two problems. One if you play a team with a speedy pg ie. kyrie Irving. Who would guard him tony Allen. I presume Allen could guard kyrie but what about the opposing 2 guard what if he is equal to kyrie offensively. So Allen would guard the opposing 2 guard and leave James harden trying to match the opposing Pgs speed. Point 2 offensively harden attacking the basket would leave Allen pretty much useless on offense. Lowry does have defense and can hit the three fairly well. Allen can not shoot at all actually. So if you play a bigger lineup harden and Allen Would be fine. If you play a speedy team ie. Izak David's Westbrook and lillard lineup. There is no way harden and Allen two shooting guards would be able to matchup defensively against them because of their quickness

Felt Josh Smith was better fit for my team, faster, more athletic and one of the best defensive players in the league so I upgraded.
I know,i know i was gonna offer Allen for Lowry a couple rounds ago but its hard giving up the best perimeter defender in the league,imo... Good dealing with you sir...
