Watching on First Row last night reminded of when I was kid in the 60's trying to listen to baseball on an AM radio at night. It would be all static-y and the signal would fade in and out. But, that's all we had, so that's what we did. The ads though, act like Comcast are the good guys and your provider just won't compensate them adequately. Yeah? well why are they blacking out the NBA TV games?
well, to be fair, that is a NBA decision, not one left up to the providers. and.....an obligatory "I hate corporate dickweeds that are keeping me from watching the games in real time!" curse just for good measure.
Mad radio on sports radio 610 was discussing the CSN situation and gave mad props to clutch and clutchfans. They discussed about the tweets clutch writes and the highlights that can be found on clutchfans.net. They said as bad as the CSN situation is and no one can watch the games, clutchfans does a great job of informing you about the game. You can catch all the Harden shots in highlights etc. Sorry for grammatical mistakes....I'm on a phone and walking lol.
Totally agreed! Between Twitter (with Clutch's tweets) and the NBA Gametime App, that's about as good as it gets keeping up with the game.
With that much talent, if we all chipped in some money; could you buy the Rockets from Les & get them back on FSSW? Don't worry about the Stros. Let them go through their season without any viewership!
Does this mean anything, in terms of access to CSN: http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/02/12/comcast-nbc-ge/1914059/
Uverse will never get CSN. I feel that the people at uverse are not doing anything either. The season is over half way over and nothing.
LOL! Their link to "the DirecTV Promise" in that page goes to a "Page Not Found" destination. BAFFLES ME...
If any of you have an Android Tablet or Android phone with the DIRECTV app, NBATV is NOT blacked out for me through the live streaming section. Obviously i have to be home, but it works . It is blacked out on my tv's, and the iPad app though. Just thought i'd share. Beats the illegal streams quality
I just don't understand what they expect those in the black out zone where comcast isn't available to do. I'd get comcast if I could.
I don't think there is any hope to watch the Rockets any time soon. After talking to Tad Brown in November, I felt they would have a deal by this month, but I thought wrong. It's too bad, as much as I enjoy going to games, I been very upset that I haven't been able to watch games on TV so I am starting to lean towards not renewing my season tickets. I can not be mad at the Rockets forever, but it doesn't sit right with me that as a local I can not watch the games.
I used to be a Comcast customer. "Make you feel special"... if your bill inexplicably going up every month, your internet signal cutting out every five minutes, and higher prices for fewer channels "makes you feel special", then sure! About as special as getting picked out as a con artist's favorite mark.
I just fell special cuz I get to watch rockets games. The bill is high though. As for the Internet It's been surprisingly good it has not cut off on me many times. I have grown up with time Warner / Comcast and I know about the Internet issues.
