dang dude, you sure know lots of facts about basketball. you must be one of then ninetyniners.

Yes the last 3 rings had a huge upgrade with Rodman as the PF and Harper as a defensive guard as well as Kukoc as an offensive threat and great passer.

Losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs is not almost making the finals

If they beat the knicks I think they get to the finals. They won 55 games that year.

9 of the leagues top 15 defenses are in the east this year http://hoopdata.com/teamdefstats.aspx. So it can be argued that Miami actually has a harder regular season than contenders in the west.

Miami technically has the harder time getting through the playoffs and we saw that last year with two of it's series' going to 7 games. Indiana and Boston were tougher series' then the OKC series. The first two rounds in the playoffs were OKC were against horrible defenses in Dallas and LAL.

The NBA as a whole was more stacked back then. Go look at the rosters of the teams those guys beat to get those rings. Bird beat some stacked Lakers teams, Magic beat some stacked Pistons and Celtics teams, Jordan beat some stacked Phoenix, Sonics, and Blazers teams. The NBA has got diluted with all the expansion teams so we just have less stacked teams now. Jordan, Magic, and Bird played on really good teams but carried those really good teams to beat other really good teams. The level of carrying those guys had to do is no less than what Lebron had to do against the Mavs two years ago but he wasn't able to.

Incredible stretch on ridiculous efficiency. Past few I remember were Kobe's 4 50+ in a row(2 60's) or MJ/Kobe 40+ in 9 consecutive games. Jordan had the creme de la creme though:

    Jordan 1989, 3/28-4/14 (10 games) - 34.9 pts/10.7 reb/11.3 ast/2.9 stl/.9 blk/3.1 TO/51.5% FG/60.6% TS/130 ORtg/106 DRtg/33.9 GmScore

10 triple doubles in 11 games (7 straight triple double's)

You should watch some Wilt Chamberlain games if you want to see complete dominance. Wilt has lead the league in assists, points, rebounds and, arguably, blocked shots. LBJ hasn't completed that feat.

That being said LBJ is unbelievable, and I believe he can go down as the #1 in history if he can win 4+ rings, but Wilt's dominance is unfathomable and better than LBJ.

How were they carrying their team when you just admitted that they played in ultra stacked teams? Their is a difference between carrying ones team and being the best player on a stacked team where all players are capable of putting up serious numbers.

We will see how Lebron performs next season if the nba was serious about the HGH tests.

Nothing to do with talent level or overall accomplishments. Also, one has to account for fickle team management.

Well for starters I didn't say ultra stacked teams. Jordan only played with one hall of famer during his first run and that is when he played his toughest opponents.

If you are trying to say that the word carry means one player doing everything while the others are just along for the ride then I agree that they didn't. However, when I say carried I mean the clear best player that led his team to a ring and was the guy that everybody went to when things got tough. That was Jordan, Magic, and Bird. They were the alphas only multiple championship teams and were the main reason that those rings were one. The Heat have a stacked team but LeBron carried them to a ring last year against another stacked team. Let's see if he can do it a few more times before we call him the greatest of all time.
