this entire argument is based on PER which is horrible stat that reward volume shooter. i'm not saying that lin is better but using PER as a stat to compare the three is useless info: http://wagesofwins.com/2012/03/04/wayne-winston-simplifies-pers/
Actually as an economics major. AND taking into account the rising inflation and devaluing of US dollars. Lin's actually only earning $1 dollar.
goran dragic 2-7 6 points. phoenix suns got demolished by OKC. Thunder - 97 Suns - 69 damn, father that was a hard --- whooping. very bad --- whooping. hagghahhaahhaghghahah.
Awesome post! Must give props. ^^^^ Consider how much the Houston fanbase have been showing their total distain for Lin, I commend you and Torocan for your courageously logical and sound analyses that obviously have gone nowhere and imho a waste of time, sorry. The way I look at it is Lin is in Egypt right now for Three years. After that he will be free to go anywhere. The type of person he is, he will definitely improve and grow in these three years and become a player worthy of the max money that Les and Morey have projected him to be. My hope is in three years or even sooner Lin will be able to go to another team that can use his full talent. On the other hand, I am really happy for Harden as he has earned the admiration and found a home in Houston. OKC obviously did not know what they had in Harden. Just like Houston right now does not know what they have in Lin.
Why do you not like TDS? If you don't mind my asking... That place started out very anti-Lin but majority of the posters nowadays are actually more balanced. And chrive is there and able to tame those male chauvinists' egos down and get them to eat out of her hands. Lol.
quote what i said earlier, you guys invade their (ture rocket fans) backyard, camping there, play loud music, that is all, it is not even about basketball.
Thank you Mike for all these data. I have been thinking about the same thing but have not done as much research as you to support it. Great job.
It is hard to talk bball with folks who only spew venoms. On the other hand, with Harden firmly encamped here, the Rockets have become one of my favorite teams as was his Artesia HS team before. Our biggest problem right now is team defense, particularly lack of consistent defensive rebounds to prevent second chance points. Assik can not do it all. Outside of Assik, only Jeremy and Chandler play decent defense. If our shots are not falling, we have to pull stops on teams. Until this young team learns to do those, and do so consistently, this kind of loss will happen.
I'm glad you can root for our team now it's a step to step progress. Maybe in 2 years you will become one of us and bash other "only fans" that invade
Lin will developed in Houston and after 3years will play in his prime years in an other state some place else. Just like everybody else in the NBA
Because I've always been a clutchfans guy. Sorry. I think people don't appreciate Lin enough here, but a lot of people here are really good guys (and gals). They might be slow on Lin, but they'll get there eventually. If you like Lin so much, learn to approach things the way he does. Lin is very accepting of criticism, he's 'team' first even to the point of sacrificing a big part of his game, he wants to be in Houston and wants to be a part of the team that brings a championship to Houston. I have little time for people who are obvious LOHs or trolls. I have a lot of sympathy for LOFs that get trashed here because at least it's not hate that drives them/their posts (but they just dont know how to channel their love for Lin in a constructive manner sometimes). But if fans of Lin that posts here wishing Lin to be a superstar somewhere else just because he isn't fully utilized here and needs to sacrifice his game really understand what he is about, they would support him and the Rockets even more in this situation. By the way, not to sound like I dislike TDS. I just already spend more time on clutchfans than I really should.
Hmmm, thanks for the food for thought. I think I and maybe most Lin fans just think all this is really not fair to Lin and definitely not appreciated by the majority of the Rockets fans and even less so by the people in the outside world (ESPN and SAS come to mind). Would his sacrifice amount to nothing and only hurt himself? I know that's very Christ like but in today's world, no one really cares about characters. Stats are all that matters. It's sad but true.
P.S. I like CF better than TDS. Just think folks here for good or bad are more real and down to earth on general. Hope you are right about gradually bringing people about where Lin is concerned.
