Wow, not sure why you're so upset, he's just a backup center. There are lots of bad backup centers in the league. I'm pretty sure he isn't in the long term plans for the Rockets. You're wasting your time being pissed off about a player that won't even be on the team after we rebuild the team.

I'm pissed off because Greg Smith got snubbed because of this guy. McHale has lost his mind if he thinks Aldrich deserves any semblance of playing time.

He certainly didn't do his trade value any favors tonight.

Rockets need to demote him to working as an assistant for Howard Chen.

What would that be? A pile of droppings from a large farm animal?

Back center position is a big problem. I don't like Aldrich and I don't think Greg Smith is the answer right now either. Rox have to make a move to sure up things with the bigs before the dead line.

Have you guys heard of Vlad Radmanovic and Nazr Mohammed (or what remains of them)?

    We need a legitimate back-up C.

Not sure about Vlad but Nazr is supposedly just as bad as Cole Aldrich.

One of the reasons we lost this game was because when we had a chance to blow them out in the 3rd quarter Cole could not get a defensive rebound and the Kings were getting second chance points.

I would take Greg over Cole. I never understood McHale's love affair for certain players. Cole being one of them.

    5 pt swing and momentum.

Cole misses an easy rebound, Kings get an easy layup.
Cole misses an easy rebound, Jimmer hits a 3 pointer.

They both are turrible defenders but at least Greg can finish a lot better.

I agree they are both terrible defenders. Greg's team D is poor (his 1 on 1 D is decent though) & Greg is foul prone. But Greg can finish better & he also has more upside. I would rather the high upside guys get meaningful playing time over the players who have no upside.

I have been done w/ Cole for sometime now McHale's love affair w/ him needs to end.

Cook has a ring. With the right support cast he's a champion.

Love affair? That's a bit of exaggeration don't you think? Up until the last few games Cole has only played some garbage minutes at the end of games. I think McHale is desperate to find someone that can actually play some defense, so he gave Cole a chance. He's tried using PPat, Smith, and Aldrich at backup center and all have failed to play any real defense.
