He deserves to go to RGV. He cannot play D at the NBA level. Cole Aldrich is our only option for paint D to back up Asik outside of PPat's undersized overexertion effort. Cole may be being showcased for trade but he's our best option to back up Asik right now.
While Greg Smith has good hands and is a very good finisher around the basket, he is a huge liability on defense. I have noticed that there is virtually no interior defense when he is in the game.
Smith's playing time seemed to immediately increase when Sampson took over, and then immediately decrease once McHale came back. Just going by the eye test, it seemed his production was better under Sampson also. Not saying the team is any better or worse off either way, just commenting on his particular situation.
they want to win a title so they sent Jones, Smith and White with Machado, Goudelock, Macklin, Rice jr already there
McHale seemed to be a fan of Cole Aldrich, but after seeing Greg Smith for a longer period of time it's become clear that he's not very good defensively. His ineptitude is pronounced though because he usually plays alongside Marcus Morris. Asik/ Patterson should be treated like Harden/ Lin. Only one should be sitting at any given time unless someone else is stepping up.

Sounds like maybe he did do something stupid with that tweet and the one he tweeted out a couple days ago. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Learn from all mistakes</p>— Gregory Smith (@Ju_Smith4) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ju_Smith4/status/300830015472418817">February 11, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
