And was a writer on Roseanne: hence Laurie Metcalf, John Galecki and most notably of all Sara Gilbert getting their first regular acting work in years.
Other than Sheldon, all the characters are incredibly annoying and not even very good people. They are supposed to be lovable nerds or something but they are fouchebzgs most of the time
I am sure there are exceptions, but 90% of the time someone says to me 'Do you watch Big Bang? It's hilarious', it is coming from a married couple/friend. I can't think of any single people (especially men) that have ever said anything like that to me. I am gonna throw out some sexism here. Woman have terrible taste in humor (thus the ****ty women comedians) and I think large portions of the BBT audience are women or whipped married men who convince themselves they like the show their wife forces them to watch.
I don't get it either. I don't find it funny at all. Maybe 1 chuckle in a 22 minute period. . . maybe Rocket River
My father. Which I'm not sure why but whatever makes him happy. Tried to watch it and got a Doctor Who reference and a Flash reference within 10 minutes and checked out. I love comics and Doctor Who but referencing both without being funny annoyed me. Also I don't understand why use a laughtrack anymore.... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PmLQaTcViOA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> On second thought what do I know, I laughed way to hard at this. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HWc3WY3fuZU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I agree with this. I'll still watch it at times and at times its still funny. For me the down side is not the nerdism, but the fact the show has not really evolved. It basicly seems like the same episode over and over again.
Seriously, I can never understand why people like this show. It's not funny, the characters are annoying and unappealing. For some reason even the sets bug me.
If you don't like it - change the channel. I find it funny, but realize that its biggest problem is that if there was/is no Sheldon, there would be no show. Being somewhat of a nerd a lot of the references and mannerisms and egos are spot on. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yO9A5pfSUX0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It sucks ass and I think lesser of someone when they tell me they're a fan. But the same can be said for almost any popular sitcom.
Anything thats indentifiably popular with majority regular Americans, I SCOFF AT! Kate Upton American women in general Big Bang Theory Go to EUROPE and eat some VEGGIES and watch some "Little Britian" on BBC and 'refine' your tastes, SLOUCHES (I'm not a big fan of the CBS comedies. 2 Broke Girls, Big Bang Theory, 2 & Half Men, all fall flat to me. After How I Met Your Mother ends, will be slim pickens)
I've watched an episode or two and it didn't catch my attention. Most of the people I know who love this show usually lack intellectual stimulation. They also tend to watch many of the reality TV shows on the cable networks.
BBT is for unsophisticated knuckle-draggers, but How I Met Your Mother is brilliant television? IS that what you just wrote?
