According to ESPN 's Weekend Dime... Danny Granger is not our target. http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dailydime-130209-10/weekend-dime #2 Western Conference Section.
Don't you hate it when you try to type something smart then someone rebuts with facts. Well... Parsons is hotter.
If Morey was (or is) contacting Indiana, I bet it was (or is) for Lance Stephenson or Gerald Green... The Rockets desperately need an upgrade at SG coming off the bench. And with David West being a free agent after this season they may would want one of our power forwards for Stephenson. Stephenson helps us on both sides of the ball in the backcourt. And even Gerald Green would be a better backup for Harden than Douglas and he may be easier to get because he hasn't been able to get off the bench lately.
Indiana would be dumb to trade Granger before the deadline. He's an unknown commodity right now following the injury. They won't get reasonable value back. They'll have to wait until draft night.
I'm getting the feeling no one's on the Rockets radar right now, except for the untouchables(Love, Aldridge, Dwight Howard, etc.)
I Doubt Morey will do something. I think he will wait until free agency and make move this off season. So don't get your hopes up on February 21.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=233232&page=14 already been posted on the Granger thread, I don't think it really needs another thread. I agree with some people that say Morey won't do much this deadline maybe just a few small trades
Granger is one of my favorite players in the NBA. He would be great on our team, but I don't see how he would fit in, and in my eyes, Parsons is UNTOUCHABLE. For his contact and output, you don't give him up. Lock him up for years. We're too stacked at the 3 for DannyG to be here. I guess he's expendable though with Paul George becoming a monster.
3s are the new 4s. Everyone is assuming the Rockets would trade Parsons but he plays multiple positions and Morey is supposedly notorious for making lowball offers, eg Budinger for another team's star player.
