tame impala - innerspeaker pretty bummed that both this show and the alt j show at fitz sold out super quick... and they're both off-night shows at least i take it as a good sign on the local music scene.

Local Natives also sold out like two months prior I noticed as well. Good thing I'll be at SXSW that week. I don't live in town, but I follow the touring acts that visit the city and nowadays almost all of the big indie acts stop in town. I noticed even Grizzly Bear is playing soon. Houston indie scene has come a long way in a short time. Thank Jagi and Omar at Pegstar!
Yeah, Grizzly Bear added a Houston show after initially not being anywhere close, but they will be stopping here on the 9th of April and my wife and I are really stoked about getting tickets.
<br> Saw them right after they released that album. It was like literally the next week. I had no idea who they were, but I was instantly hooked. Seeing them live is a treat. You can't hear any of the lyrics for **** but the overall sound is awesome.
I'll see you in HELL. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gbIXBpUujBQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Thank god real butt rockin' music still lives in this world of fizzy pop and hipster snoozerz <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/a_426RiwST8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
don't like the black keys, hated the small amount of the grammies i could stomach watching last night. i've been on a country music binge today (for some weeks now actually)
When country inspires a motel clerk to move like that call me. Western Swing, Bakersfield Sound.... yes but Nashville sucks The Keys are funny that they are such a big national hit when there are a hundred blues band that have been making killer blues that no grammy types have ever listened to. Marketing! the difference between obscurity and stardom. I only saw Taylor Swifts opener.
The Black Keys are the new Foo Fighters, entry level music for people who have never broadened their horizons to include a cacophony of sweet, sweet ear nectar. Most of you will never understand what it is like to be in a field of white eyelashes, trying madly to ride with one of the brazen stallions galloping toward the cerulean sunset.
